This is a friendly and welcoming restaurant in the town of Canico. We really enjoyed Carlos as a waiter, and the other waiter (can't recall his name, but he has a Chilean spouse!). We ate here twice, as it was so enjoyable the first time. We were able to sit outside for our meal, which faces a small square and... More

Stopped here because we couldn't find the restaurant that we were looking for. Food was good mushroom steak was great. Staff friendly reasonable prices. Recommend that you eat inside as it is next to a busy road.

The food and the staff are excellent! We visited the place almost every day as the tuna steak (plate of the day) with potatoes, vegetables and wine was not only the best quality but also reasonably prices. Poncha at the end (on the house for regular guests) is a perfect way to finish a delicious meal 😉

We had a lovely evening meal, staff very friendly and helpful. Meal was excellent. When we got to dessert one of our friends was unsure about one of the options so they brought a sample out to try.

The venue is split into two rooms, one was cafe style and seemed to be used by the local residents for drinks - although there was very lively party in there one night who were eating and clearly enjoying the football on the TV in that room. In spite of its traditional dark wood panelling the restaurant had a good... More

Very good food and plenty of variety. Carlos one of the waiters was very funny, attentive and made sure we had what we wanted.

5 of us visited one weekday evening, despite rather than because of the outside poster with pictures of the various dishes on offer. It is well situated opposite the main Canico Square. The first feature which greeted us inside was the display of fine wine glasses, and when we commentated on them, a selection of even larger ones were produced... More

Our first time on Madeira, and the first restaurant we tried was by far the best. Very friendly, but by no means pushy service. We dined here a total of 3 times during our 1 week stay and sampled different dishes. Every single one was without fault. We can highly recommend the set 3-course menu for € 14.90. A good... More
