Food very average at most. Fish tasted frozen or preprepared, vegetables uninspiring and lukewarm. The meal was the most expensive we ate all week, despite a free bottle of wine. The decor, floor and furnishings were grubby and need updating. Unable to recommend this restaurant, but it does have a lovely view from the terrace

Great views from the sun terrace at this small bar restaurant overlooking the sea. Friendly staff made us very welcome

poor food, good views, average service and pricey. We had lunch there, it was our less satisfying meal of the week.

Our table of 8 guests were given two menus to share. It took the staff 30 minutes to collect the order, and only after this were we served any bread and drinks. From the order went in, it took 1.5 hours until they told us "the food will be ready in 2 minutes". After another 15 minutes, we went inside... More

We did not trust our first impression, we better should have. The sea view is nice but the terrace is in bad shape overall. Broken parasols and table linen that should have been replaced two or three seasons ago. We had a good older review in mind so still wanted to try the food, turned out very disappointing. The shrimps... More

Romantic venue with sea view as you enjoy red wine and a great meal. It's a quiet resturant with friendly personnel

We have visited Canico for several years and always made a point of having a meal at this restaurant. However three years ago we felt that standards had slipped (in common with other reviewers at the time). We recently returned for a week's holiday and were lured back by the fabulous view from the terrace. We visited on a Monday... More

we visited this place many times during last five years! we avoid eatig because is verry expensive but a cofee or a poncha is an affordable luxury considering the view! all prices are 2,5 times bigger than same thing in an other restaurant from this class in Madeira! and the management is not wellcoming at all

I can't comment on the food or the restaurant itself as I haven't order any dish but went there a few times just to drink a coffee, a lemon tea or beer and enjoy the wonderful views to the sea with the most stunning sunsets. The prices are quite high though but totally worthy. If your a fan of photography... More
