We called in today for drinks after a long drive to visit Greve at about 12.30pm. We wanted drinks before exploring the town then we would have returned to il Portico after an hour or two for a meal. The older waiter came to take our order which all seemed fine and he said just drinks were fine. When he... More

The food is good and reasonably priced. It is a family run restaurant offering good service with a smile.

We enjoyed it so much, we came here twice for dinner, during our stay. Typical Tuscan food, not too pricey, delicious. Love the pasta ai funghi!

We went here after a long day of traveling to the shore. We started out as a group of 5 who had very basic food tastes. The rest of the group (4 more) showed up shortly after and although they couldn't accommodate us all at one table, the other four got a table close by. The kitchen was more than... More

I am afraid our experience is nothing like the previous reviews. Arrived at 12 with our two young children, staff very reluctant to serve us and make arrangements for prams and high chair. Normally Italian's are great with children. I had pasta with salami and wife had mushroom tag. Wife ill with diarrhoea and vomiting later in the afternoon, I... More

I love this restaurant, it's my second home, when I'm not in the mood to cook and want to eat fresh Tuscan food, made with love and affordable, I just go there. The place is cozy, the staff are kind, and the food are really good.

Extremely service minded, small and cosy, very affordable. After dinner the cook comes out and make sure you are happy. The new generation in the family just moves on in the right direction. We believe there will be an expansion soon. Very close to a very Good Hotel Albergo di Chiant

I happened into Il Portico at Greve during the lunch rush and it was filled with local folks who all seemed to know each other. I ordered the gnocchi with a walnut and Gorgonzola sauce that was outstanding! I really enjoyed the ambiance and observing the locals eating interesting looking dishes. A very nice experience.

Despite it being Tuesday evening deep in off-season, we were welcomed at Il Portico and served a delicious meal that included Tuscan specialty black cabbage in several entrees. We've eaten here before and enjoyed the easy-going and warm experience. Great food and very friendly young woman who took care of us well. We would return.
