There are many good restaurants in Grebe in Chianti, but this is one of the best, lovely food beautifully served by very helpful staff. Make sure that you visit when you are next in Greve.

I went there on the first night I arrived in Greve Chianti which was the last day of the wine expo. All the other restaurants on the piazza seemed too crowded so I went into the Gallo Nero which turned out one of the best meals I had in Italy. The truffle steak was absolutely fantastic and the wine risotto... More

Great food and service in modern surroundings. We were recommended this restaurant by the owner of our accommodation and we enjoyed it very much for the reasonably priced food and excellent service.

Deliscious food, served nicely, good service. The best restaurant we ate in while being in the area. Recommended their home made pasta (all types), spinach, vegetables, salads, ravioli. Great restaurant!!!

Upscale restaurant just off the main square with great food. The meat and cheese platter antipasti is a delicious selection - but quite filling! If you are sharing between two the "one person" portion could well be enough if you intend to have another dish. For main I had the fillet steak with smoked cheese and truffles. This was probably... Welcoming and helpful staff. Local wine list reasonably priced. Good food we had the pork (which melted in the mouth) and a pasta dish. Seemed like a good place for couples, families and friends alike.

Very beautiful restaurant. Homemade pasta a delight, but the grilled mix of meats was a poor selection. Beef, a bad choice most anywhere in Italy--lean and chewy--pork ribs dry and likely sitting for awhile, dry rooster, and poor quality sausage, were disappointments since all but the beef is easily found w high quality at even the most unassuming restaurants in... This fairly high priced restaurant has 5 years worth of well deserved TA certificate of excellence. We visited on a Friday afternoon during the annual wine festival. First courses were panzanella, I had the pasta shaped like a purse with cheese and pear. For second we had grilled chicken (potatoes al for no were cold hence 4 stars), I had... More

The restaurant is located in the heart of the Chianti Country and very close to the birthplace of Giovanni Verrazzano. The place has great ambiance, and the interior makes you feel relaxed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The wine list is so extensive and even the moderately priced vintages are quite good. The food is of traditional Tuscan... More
