No wonder this chef is still waiting for his Michelin star! The food was pretentious with a complete overkill in so far as the bland mix of flavours. The service by the so-called maitre d'/waiter was affected and still lacking basic table manners. The first impression we got was immediately negative, considering the way this maitre was dressed. This notion... More

Comfortable decor with attentive service but disappointing quality of genuine Sicilian dishes. Presentation was good, but the flavours of the individual dishes were lacking. We had expected better.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the museum in Aidone and on our way to the Villa Romana in Piazza Armerina. The room is so well set out that I felt rather under-dressed in my tourist uniform of shorts & sandals, but the service was impeccable - I certainly wasn't made to feel out of place. The food was... We had reserved a table for six and arrived late. They could not have been nicer about it. The menu for the day included a wonderful baked pasta dish, which I greatly enjoyed. Everyone seemed happy with his meal. Nice local wine. Excellent restaurant for lunch. Our driver agreed with our choice and said it was the best place in... More

We took the trouble to seek this place out based on the reviews and were delighted we had. The quality and inventiveness of the food was exceptional - the key is prime quality local ingredients imaginatively prepared. Prices were equivalent to an average neighbourhood restaurant in London and considerably less than similar food and service would cost in central London.... More

A good menu and an extensive wine list are complemented by the decor and good service. However given the number of other very good places to eat the prices were too high both for the food and the wine.

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of our hotel. She had not tried it but suggested it was supposed to be the best around. We booked a last minute table just before closing, which may account for our odd experience (but I see others have had similar experiences). Due to poor roads and an odd road-house type of location,... More

5-10 minutes drive outside of the city center, this restaurant is a must-visit. The owners, chef and his wife, were very hospitable and friendly. The food was incredibly tasty and very creative and artistic; our plates looked like paintings. I'm a vegetarian and didn't find an antipasto that suited me on the menu, but they were graciously willing to work... More

This place is overrated. Take it from NYC and Philly area foodies who know the difference between true gourmet food and pretention. We were served virtually raw lamb -- seared black on the outside, bloody within. When we asked politely (in Italian) for it to be better cooked, the waiter gave us a lecture on how this was the ideal... More

This is a magical place, the moment you walk in the restaurant you already feel you are living a dream. The moment you start eating the delicious food you wish you could go on forever! Amazing experience!!
