I was quite happy with the pappardelle dish I had which was somewhat like cacio e pepe (cheese and pepper) but a bit spicier and with other ingredients I couldn't identify. The pastas are simply, but expertly prepared. My partner had a seafood carbonara pasta that was perhaps richer than he was expecting but completely consumed nonetheless. A small, family-run... More

After the rave reviews I especially looked for it. The service was not particularly good and the lasagne was OK but only average and the bread was stale. Maybe as I was alone I didn't warrant the special attention that others had. In fact I found the old man friendly but one of the waitresses was rather surly. Wouldn't bother... More

Our first choice of restaurant was closed this evening and we were keen not to repeat our experience of a disappointing meal at a different restaurant Last night. We could not have done better than to go to Trattoria Da Gianna. We were warmly welcomed and given delicious food, all freshly cooked. Yes, the restaurant doesn't look trendy, but it... More

I love Gianna ........ and her husband too. They are an elderly couple running their own small restaurant cooking home made food with passion. With Gianna in the kitchen and her husband doing the waitering, the five of us were served an antipasto made of local delicacies which were cooked instantly. We had two types of pasta a lemon pasta... More

Very pleasant, atmospheric trattoria. The food was freshly cooked to order, and served by a very friendly and helpful host. Good value for money for an authentic Sicilian meal. Would recommend.

wandering the streets of Piazza Armerina we could almost have missed this little place - tucked close to the theatre in a little square facing a beautifully lit church. We were welcomed into the tiny restaurant, only seats perhaps 30 at a push - but we decided to eat outside as it was so warm. We were the only ones,... More

Da Gianna is amazing. We came in on a cold rainy night and were welcomed into an authentic italian kitchen, with a family atmosphere. The pappadelle al limone and the pappadelle Siciliana are fantastic, full of flavour and were the authentic Sicilian dining experience we were looking for. Fantastic!
