Six of us sat down to lunch. Food was wonderful. I highly recommend the meatloaf. Best I think I have ever had. It is not something I traditionally order and came away wanting to order again. Between the six of us we ordered a variety...of dishes and no one went away hungry or with a complaint. Everyone highly enjoyed their food. Service was great and hosts excellent. So glad we took the time to stop and enjoy.More

Amazing food and great value. Service was super prompt and we were satisfied with the pasta and salad dishes we had. It’s just slightly off the main street so I think it’s missed by the tourist but I would 100% recommend. So happy we found...it. Will return next year when I visit again!More

We entered this place so we could have a drink(7people) before further trip in the city. After we sat at the table the waiter came and asked us if we are going to eat or drink. When we said that both but first we come...for a drink we got an answer that this is not a bar. If we don't want to eat we have to leave the restaurant. (It was middle of the day and there was only one table occupied). No words to comment the arrogance and cultural level of the staff. NEVER AGAIN!More

Worst food experience in the area. Starter was some cheese with cheapest bacon. I had rabbit with sauce: maximum a spoonfull of meat, rest were bones, covered in pasta sauce. My wife’s pasta was storebought, tasting bland, with the same sauce as it was on...the meat. Wine was ok, nothing spectacular. They have some stickers with “Michelin” but it’s just a trap and a bad experience.More

This might be the worst food you can get in italy. Small portions, excessive prices and really rude staff . On the bright side it's really close to the trulli which is the main attraction of this god-foresaken village. Trust me go spend your money...elsewhere.More

We were advised to go here as the no2 restaurant in Arberobello was already full 10 mins after opening! Service rather gruff. We had sword fish and bream. All just ok, not a patch on some of the Italian cooking we have experienced this holiday.

Had lunch here. The service was OK and the food just fair. The local wine they have by the carafe was horrible. There must be better places in to to eat. We just had time for a quick lunch. Would not return here.

We wanted a light lunch for our group of 7 and the waiter suggested the mixed starter. It was €14 and fed 2 people comfortably so 4 of them were perfect along with bruschetta. In fact we thought we had finished and they kept bringing...more dishes out. However, for a restaurant that says pizzeria on the front to not serve pizza at lunch was a disappointment. The waiter examined that was becuase they shut after lunch and can't keep the oven going and it does say so on the menu, but it was a bit of a shame.More

It’s a good place to feed a bus full of people, I guess. Though it is neither fast nor efficient. Food and service are truly disappointing, especially if you have some knowledge of local cuisine and any expectations

In addition to the excellent antipasto and primi (risotto con frutti di mare), the waiter (Piero) provided us with a detailed description of the types of wine grapes grown throughout Puglia. The wine we selected was Primitivo di Manduria, a great accompaniment to the risotto....We highly recommend Osteria del Poeta if you should happen to be in Alberobello. We came here with family who were locals. We were very well served by the very gentle waiter Piero. The traditional cuisine pleased everybody.

Had a great Italian lunch! The interior of this place is so stunning- beautiful authentic stone walls. The food & wine were great as always in Italy. Friendly staff and convenient big parking just in front of the place. 2min walking distance from the main...sights of AlberobelloMore

After completing a trip around Alberobello, which was reasonable interesting by virtue of its unique quality, but not necessarily incredible , we chose here for lunch, again not necessarily incredible ! With my 11 friends, this was one of the easiest places to get them sat...together, without too much fuss. I chose a lunch of Peasant Pork sausage & french fries, not necessarily incredible, But the Puglian Red was !!More

Room was large with high ceiling , like eating in a barn. Service was off hand , the menu very standard for tourists, food was OK but nothing special. Would recommend looking around for alternatives which offer better value and a more interesting menu.

Would have went for the main restaurant next door but the menu was entirely in Italian, but the cheaper Osteria associated with Porta has Italian and English translation Started with the Antipasti Contaldo for two which was a high selection of local cold delicacy, all...excellent Then followed by Cottoletto Milanese with fresh fries as a side, not quite up to the Antipasti standard but very well done Finished off with Gelato, Chocolate was Rich and dark, very good Wife had chocolate cake with Grand Marnier which was superb Accompanied with a local Trepini wine which was superbMore
