Could use some pointers in "service" but food excellent and very well priced

Food was really good! Service lacks experience. It took 43 minutes for us to get the appetizer, but I guess sipping on a very good and well priced bottle of wine made the wait worth the food. We had to flag the server down for things. They didn't stop by the table not once to ask how was everything and if we needed anything . I don't think the 2 we had have any experience in serving at a restaurant. I recommend a crash course for them in food service. Food was good!!! and inexpensive for the area.

We booked this restaurant as it was recommended. It was the last night of our holiday in the heel of Italy and we have been spoilt and charmed by the Italian people. Everywhere we have been made to feel welcome until we arrived here. The staff could not be less interested in you as a customer. 20 minutes before a drinks order could be placed. It would appear the staff have taken some vow of silence as they do not engage with you as a customer. Courses are brought to the table, plates cleared and even payment is taken without a word being said. No effort to engage and when we left the waited was more intestested in his phone. In every other restaurant we visited the staff enhanced the meal. Service would be given a 0. On a positive the food was amazing and possibly the best pizza ever and that is why you must book in advance. We sat outside it was a beautiful evening and for this I would give it a 5/5. Average 3/5

I didn’t feel safe because it was crowded, they were not respecting the distance between the tables. The cloth on the table is made of cloth and not changed inbetween guests. Many customers with kids which makes the place very very noisy. The food is average. Service is good but like in a canteen. Very touristic.

Disappointing and not worthy of its ratings

We have been eating out at restaurants for almost two weeks in Puglia and the service has always been very good. We went in to book this restaurant at lunch because it is in a good location in an old Trulli house and had fairly good reviews. Our booking was for 7:30pm. The weather turned cold, and it was raining. There was a queue of us (British, Germans and French) outside in the cold (we were shivering) and the rain but restaurant staff did not start arriving till about 7:45 pm. Despite entreaties and pleading to open the gate so we could get out of the rain, we were let in just before 8pm. Then the staff and owner were still slowing laying tables at 8:15 pm. We were seated in the cellar next to the kitchen. The kitchen staff were playing gangster rap and after 20 minutes we asked for the music to be turned off. The food was bland and average. The only impressive thing was the linen tablecloths and napkins. It appears that they are complacent because this is in a good location and don’t really care about customer service or about being welcoming or friendly.

Your hostess have a recommendation for this restaurant. And we weren’t disappointed! This restaurant has a cosy ambience inside and your dinner was so tasteful. Remember the local apertizer is large. And it comes in two parts. The waiters were very observant - most of the time. Make a reservation in advance.

We had dinner here one evening during our stay in Alberobello, a place recommended by various videos and word of mouth from friends. Beautiful and characteristic location among the trulli, it feels like being in a movie, all accompanied by flowers and very kind staff. Typical local food at a bargain price and very high quality! The fish was very fresh and delicious, the house wine EXCELLENT, the price, I repeat, too low for the quality it offers, furthermore, I add, I am celiac and lactose intolerant, I ate fish, the cecina, (the best I have ever eaten in 30 years), and vegetables without any type of contamination, and I felt great! Not approved..more! It is thanks to these places that those suffering from allergies or intolerances still appreciate gastronomy! Thank you guys!

Terrible place, I strongly advise against it! As soon as we sat down we asked to change our glass because it was dirty, the next table instead asked to change the cutlery. We start to eat the appetizers and we notice a long hair in the scamorza with speck and we quietly and politely ask for a replacement (because it can happen even if it shouldn't) without apologizing they take the dish back; after 5 minutes they bring us a plate of moldy gratin mushrooms with another hair! At which point we stopped the order and went to pay. The cashier justifies herself by saying that the hair was in the scamorza so it's the dairy's fault, while when I told her about the moldy mushroom and with the hair she remained silent and made us pay for what we had taken, we left without having received either an apology or a greeting.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Alberobello, with a small terrace located among the trulli. Beyond the location we also appreciated the food which, in addition to being good, the portions were generous. We recommend the tagliolini with burrata and pistachio cream and the Orecchiette alla Bari 🤤 The wine is also good (perhaps the house one? We didn't take the bottle but a glass of primitivo, excellent). The staff is attentive and precise and the service was quick despite the numerous seats. We spent around €80 for 2 first courses (mentioned above), French fries, two veal chops, wine and water.

We absolutely loved this restaurant in a traditional trullo, food and drinks were very good value for money. We ordered the Antipasto Della Casa for 25€ as a starter for the two of us which was delicious, however, there was far too much food which meant we couldn’t eat much of our mains! Was enough for 4 people!

The place is always full so make your reservations in advance if you want to eat here. Service is very good and food excellent. We had orecchiette al trullo and a pasta with porcini mushrooms as primo piatto and Angelo alle brace (lamb) and spindola fish as a second with rosemary roasted potatoes. Price is excellent for the quality of the food

A wonderful dining experience in a fantastic setting

What an amazing experience. We arrived at this restaurant at our reservation time of 20:00 (8:00 pm) and were promptly seated by the young waiter. The room was filled with three tables of diners; a total of 16 besides ourselves. As the waiter took orders from first a table of 2, then a table of 5 and finally a table 9 we noticed that he did not write down anything. Now it was our time to order and we wondered how long it would be before our orders arrived given that there were also diners on the terrace and in another room. To our amazement, the table of two was served promptly followed by dinner service to the table of five. The waiter moved quickly as we watched him serve the two room and next he served hugh antipasto plates to the table of nine. We we astonished when my first plate arrived. The service was unbelievably prompt especially given the number of diners. Second courses arrived in an appropriately timed fashion and the waiter continued to inquire as to our needs. Now to the plates themselves; for a first, I order a pasta disc with traditional sauce and cacioricotta cheese. It was everything I had hoped for. The flavorsblended wonderfully. For my second, I ordered the sausage plate which satisfied me completely. My spouse who,did not order a first plate ordered the boneless beef filet mignon with a primitive sauce. She remarked that it was among the best meal she had had during our six week stay in Puglia. She also remarked that her glass of Primitivo wine was also among the finest that she had experienced during our stay. All in all, a wonderful dining experience in a wonderful trullo in storybook Alberobello.

Waited outside in the rain for 20 minutes after the official opening time, with staff drifting in. When we finally got into the restaurant they appear to have had trouble finding the booking which we made in person at lunchtime that day. Service was slow with the waiter more interested with the setting of unoccupied tables. Food itself was very average Sea bass was unseasoned and swordfish steak very thin and overcooked.

Lovely italien restaurant with garden for guest who like to eat outside. The stuff friendly the food delicious we order Pizza and it’s was very delicious, dessert so tasty and the location is perfect. Highly recommended

Great place to eat and hang out time in peace (book! 😅). Location, menu, quality of raw materials and staff were all excellent (we didn't eat the pizza...) In particular we noticed the tact with which both the owner and a waitress kept a woman with, let's say, not very polite manners at bay... just because according to her they hadn't handled a booking as she wanted. In all this, his very large table seemed to be the only one present in the restaurant, but I was served and treated very well: top professionalism. Nice place both inside and out, where it is better to ask to stay in summer.

The food was good - especially the steaks BUT they got the order wrong so one of the sea bass meals didn’t come. They brought it 25mins later (when everyone else had eaten) and they charged full price. They refused to take it off the bill and were pretty aggressive in their approach. Go somewhere else.
