We are here on the recommendation of our hotel manageress who suggested we order the local antipasto dish for 2 before ordering any other food. She was right. The "starter" consisted of about a dozen different local specialities from stuffed courgette flowers to fried cheese, mussels, prosciutto and tripe (although I gave that a miss!). It was so delicious and... More

Total tourist trap. Poor service, not particularly clean and really disappointing food. Lots of the produce seemed frozen and the general cooking standard was extremely low. Not sure how they get away with it as the reviews are not as bad as they should be. A restaurant to avoid at all costs.

Nearly walked by here but decided to go inside and it was worth the visit. The pasta was so delicious and homemade. It is much bigger inside and was very busy.

This restaurant lives up to expectation. The waiters were friendly and the food was just delicious. The shared antipasti misti were huge, fresh and appetising! The pasta was superbly al dente. My husband had orecchiette with what appeared to be be a courgette sauce etc. - yummy! I had the typical bean paste with, what we now believe to have... More

Wonderful meal from an extensive menu. The antipasti mista was so large we almost felt we would not be able to eat our main course. Samples of almost all starters were included. Excellent English spoken much to the relief of my poor Italian!

The pasta we had for lunch was a regional type (orecchiette) and left a lot to desire. Very tasteless, done without condiments or a lot of preparation. It came very fast and only with the cheese I could feel the taste of something (zucchine and funghi speck). My partner ordered one with ragu of pork and there were literally three... More

A very good meal, 3 of us had steaks which were very good. Not much choice of fish. You need to allow for cover charge and vegetables need to be ordered as an extra. All very tasty. Friendly staff, some English spoken. Reasonably priced. We didn't book but I expect you would need to in high season. Had house wine... More

We had the "pasta sampler" (3 pasta dishes to share for 2 people, 26€ + 2x3€ cover harge) and could hardly eat them - they had no taste. We do (a lot) better at home. The house wine is cheap in all sense of the term. The basil leaf on one of our dish was half black. The staff clearly... More

We went to Il Trullo d'Oro not as our first choice but because this was one of the only open ones, so we're still thankful we could get something to eat on that day to be honest. The location is ok, close to the center church and in a relatively touristic area. The food was average, although served efficiently with a... More
