Wonderful meal from an extensive menu. The antipasti mista was so large we almost felt we would not be able to eat our main course. Samples of almost all starters were included. Excellent English spoken much to the relief of my poor Italian!

The pasta we had for lunch was a regional type (orecchiette) and left a lot to desire. Very tasteless, done without condiments or a lot of preparation. It came very fast and only with the cheese I could feel the taste of something (zucchine and funghi speck). My partner ordered one with ragu of pork and there were literally three... More

A very good meal, 3 of us had steaks which were very good. Not much choice of fish. You need to allow for cover charge and vegetables need to be ordered as an extra. All very tasty. Friendly staff, some English spoken. Reasonably priced. We didn't book but I expect you would need to in high season. Had house wine... More

We had the "pasta sampler" (3 pasta dishes to share for 2 people, 26€ + 2x3€ cover harge) and could hardly eat them - they had no taste. We do (a lot) better at home. The house wine is cheap in all sense of the term. The basil leaf on one of our dish was half black. The staff clearly... More

We went to Il Trullo d'Oro not as our first choice but because this was one of the only open ones, so we're still thankful we could get something to eat on that day to be honest. The location is ok, close to the center church and in a relatively touristic area. The food was average, although served efficiently with a... More

You need to hunt this place out - there is a sign in the Main Street to the basilica. Only slightly off the beaten track; great food and service....oh and great Falanghina from Puglia. Everyone does their own lemonchello - these guys serve a very good one! Well worth a visit - like a tardis; much bigger inside than you... More

We had lunch at this place, and it was definitely worth going. We sat in the small trullo part which is very cozy and cute. We had pasta which were super tasty, and the staff extremely friendly and easy going with our one year old who ran around in the entire restaurant. Very good value for the price.

While walking around Alberobello, we found Il Trullo d'oro and made a reservation for dinner later that night. We weren't disappointed. The waiters spoke some English, the menu was easy to navigate, the local wine was good, and the food was delicious. Also, the portions are large. The risotto for two could of served four, and the steaks were huge... More

We went here for lunch at the recommendation of our guide. There were several groups coming in after Mass on a Sunday so we know it is a local favorite. It is a little difficult to find, since it is not in the tourist area, but worth the short walk. They had several types of gluten free pasta, and when... More
