Fresh, local, delicious food. I had some reservations about some aspects of some dishes. But overall, we had a fantastic experience. Great wine list too.

We were headed south to Sicily, via Salerno on our two-month long Italian road trip when I happened to notice in our Michelin red guide that we'd be passing a starred restaurant just north of the city of Salerno...so, off the autostrada we go in search of Pappacarbone! Sunday lunch in Italy is rather special...a time for families to gather,... More

We went out of our way to experience lunch at Pappacarbone on our way from Naples to Sorrento and it was worth every bit! We were treated like family from the moment we walked in the door. The servers were lovely and very helpful with the Italian only menu. The chef came out to meet us before we left, which... More

Dining at Rocco Iannone is one-of-a-kind experience everyone should allow himself at least once in life. Produces and raw materials are strictly gathered locally if not produced by chef Rocco in his Tenuta Nannina while the fish is a gift of the fantastic gulf of Salerno. Keep up with the good spirit chef.

Chef Rocco Iannone has real respect about the Italian gastronomic tradition and products. His restaurant is starred at Michelin Guide, but unaffectedly. And his food - Madonna mia, his food - is a sucessful result of his passion for cooking and his obstinacy for finding the freshest and more authentic ingredients from Campaign Region. If you feel it's important, as... More

I've been in Pappacarbone September 14. Rocco the 'cuoco' and the owner is an amazing person, very kind, full of taste and authentic. We had the full menu and since appetiser to dessert it was delicious with a good local wine choice. Rocco is very able to select the raw ingredients and to propose the best dishes because each season... More

During our Christmas trip to the South of Italy, my girlfriend and I decided to have lunch at Pappacarbone. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the kind and friendly greeting, which was in fluent English. We were presented with a menu written in both Italian and English. Shortly after ordering, the dishes were beautifully presented by waitress,... More

The food equals the experience of eating italian in the backlands of Croatia (no offense). Uninspired and dull courses are served with no understanding of the marvelous raw products of the region. A tenth of the asked price might be a fair share; but in this case I would advise to go someplace - anyplace else!
