I can almost get straight-up Emotional over the Owner, the beautiful stories he mentioned of catching fresh fish: the Olive Oil Paste and Bread Signature Family Recipe all made in house by the owner and the IMPECCABLE FISH served that is a highlight of Naxos. I was so honored to be in this restaurant and experience food when tasting it : the specific dish itself in this restaurant carries an unmatched soul, flavor, and significance that is not the same made anywhere else. The Chef and Owner clearly lives out of his awareness of food and life as a passion and art. And this is a place I would go out of my way to make sure I will visit again and again in Naxos. Unforgettable Experience.

We always eat at Meltimi when we visit Naxos. It is great place with wonderful local dishes - always fresh and delicious. About as expensive as most places on the island - a two course meal with wine would cost about 50-70 euros for two people. Naxos is not a cheap place ! Nikos owns the place and he is nice, friendly guy. His staff are friendly are very good too. Highly recommended.

Was recommended this restaurant by a couple staying at our hotel. We had tsatziki and beetroot salad, both were fresh and delicious. Husband had moussaka which he said tasted very good, I had Lola’s pork with roast potatoes. The pork was tender with the fat cut away and had a beautiful flavour. The potatoes were fabulous and so herby, I could have just eaten a plate of them on their own.
We both had a small carafe of house wine, my husband reckons it was the best house red he’s had! We were given complimentary cheese and ouzo to finish.
Total for 2 courses and half a litre of wine each was €59.
We will be going back.

Worst food we’ve had in Greece. We got lured in by the cozy atmosphere but the food was horrible. The mixed souvlaki was extremely dry, had about two pieces of red pepper in it and get this- it came with BBQ sauce!!! I don’t know about you but BBQ sauce isn’t Greek. I asked for some tzatziki sauce and the charges me for a side order. The pepper chicken filet was a piece of chicken breast smothered in some brown sauce with pepper on top. Horrible.

Disappointed with our meal. We dined here on our first evening in Naxos. Bit of a wait for a table which was fine. When we were seated it became apparent that the place was just too busy. We might have been unlucky but it was a while before we were able to order and my fish souvlaki was dry as if it had been waiting to be delivered which could happen if they can’t get all the food out. It might have been better at a quieter time

This was our first night back in Greece since 2015. Mediocre meal with inattentive service. (I’m not very critical about service since Covid but they were inattentive even though we arrived early when the restaurant wasn’t busy. It got worse as the place filled up.) My starter was the fava since I love these when fresh. These tasted like dried split peas. My partner’s imam starter was the best dish we ordered. My grilled stuff calamari was gargantuan- so if all you care about is portion size, go for it, but it was rubbery. I enjoyed the roast potatoes more.

Dinner for two, too bad it really made a difference but not for the better.
We start with bread and olive pâté, a perfect start given that it was offered.
I took the grilled squid which was excellent and also good, together with the grilled prawns, it's a shame that they weren't fresh since when cleaning them half of them remained stuck to the shell and they had the black fillet of the intestine still inside.
To conclude they offered a glass of ouzo... In short, to the others it was either all or none. Okay, let's forget about it.

Very good food, we went there several times. Particularly delicious: lemon lamb and briam!!! Nikos and his team are super friendly, helpful and always up for a laugh ;-) Dessert is always "on the house". Thank you very much and goodbye...

Great local restaurant that was really family friendly.
They have a kids menu, but also willing to make a kids serving of almost all the meals which is great and allows for great variety for the family.
Plenty of gluten free options as well.

Haven’t written a poor review before, but compared to all the excellent meals we’ve had so far in Naxos, this was disappointing. We had mixed starters which were bland. My main course of fish souvalakj was over cooked - the fish was tough and the roast potatoes undercooked! We’ve had better wine from a supermarket! This was the most expensive meal out so far. The local cats enjoyed a treat though!

The food was beyond our expectations! Lamb was juicy and tender and filet of beef was the best I’ve had in a long time. Appetizer was delicious and Greek salad was as good as it gets in Greece! Service amazing. The owner recommended dishes and asked how we liked them. Atmosphere was pure Naxos!

Excellent food, here I have eaten the best tzatziki between Santorini and Naxos. I suggest the Meltemi’s special dishes are really delicious. The owner is gentleman, he has suggested us the best food and also he suggest the quantity because with my boyfriend we would like to order enough plates, so he has prepared half plates.

Friendly welcome, efficient and fast service. Great food. I chose meatballs (κεφτέδες) of zucchini and squid stuffed with cheese. Everything is great. Even grapes at the end of the meal offered.
White wine of the house, mediocre. Price in the norm. The boy at the reception has wonderful light blue eyes. Highly recommended.

We stopped by this place for dinner. Staff were amazingly friendly and hospitable, the seafood was fresh and tasty and at the end were served an ice cream and ouzo (both on the house) and overall, very reasonably priced (we were quite surprised). Recommend their seafood and Greek cuisine. Amazing experience and highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

This restaurant came highly recommended by our friendsand did not disappoints. The owner even came out and helped serve us and offered us a dessert on the house. Don’t miss this spot when you visit Naxos. Make sure you get the Portokalopita (orange cake) and the BOUYIOURDI !!!! AMAZING !!
