The food was good and the really a bargain. This is what we call value for money. Traditional Greek receipts. The only bad thing is the location and that the staff was flirting with the tourists. Overall recommended.

Well, Maro's Taverna is not exactly quiet, in fact its a lot like sitting in the middle of a jam with people walking back and forth, tourists and locals alike..but that is fine by me and actually all the better, cause when you feel like it it, it's a great place to people-watch! I was invited there by some of... More

My friend and I cannot stop talking about our meals at Maros. Our only regret is that we didn't find the taverna sooner, else we would have gone every night! We ate here twice and the food is just absolutely incredibly--like Mom's cooking, only better. I had the pork gyros platter which was actually kontosouvli--pork roasted on a spit. So... More

Our first night in Naxos we walked by this bustling tavern in Naxos. Because a busy restaurant is usually a good sign we decided to have dinner there the next night. While the prices were great, the food was just average. Service was above average by Island standards (slowish, but relatively attentive and very friendly). The fries were great, my... More

The title says all.....biggest portions of tasty greek food we had in our holiday in Naxos.....we really enjoy their food, and they always give you a little free dessert at the end (like most of the restaurants in Naxos!)

Found this recommendation in the lonely planets book, and it was brilliant, but beware the potion sizes are huge, my husband & I shared a moussaka and Naxos salad! The food all look ed really good. The rõse house wine was very good aswell. We got to this place at about 8pm because we guessed it would get busy after that,... More

We dined here whilst on holidays with our friends after it was recommended to us by our Airbnb host, cab driver and day your operator, and boy were we glad we went. This is homemade Greek food at its best! We shared a bunch of amazing starters including saganaki, tzatziki and pita, spanakopita and eggplant dip. We the ordered our... More

This is the place if you want to taste some tasty original Greek cooked food. Careful don't order too much because the portions are massive!! One main is enough and no starters are required!! Try the rose house wine (the one that actualy looks pink not the dark red one) it's really good! Prices are extremely reasonable. We wanted to... More

This is where the locals dine! It was recommended by the owner of our hotel and we couldn't have been happier. The service was excellent, we were always satisfied with each dish and often had a complimentary dessert or liter of wine offered to us. It goes without saying we made this restaurant our place for dinner during our entire... More
