Stopped by on the way to Virginia Beach for the start of spring break. Everyone had a grand time. The dinner for two plus an extra entre was enough to feed our family of four. Great service.

I have dined at numerous Melting Pot restaurants and I have to say that Jason and his team at The Peninsula Melting Pot are doing a fantastic job. We had the chance to dine there on New Years Eve and everything was fantastic. The restaurant...was super clean, the service was wonderful and the food quality was perfect. We had some fun wines and even purchased some wines to take home. Thank you Jason!!! Keep on making great memories.More

6th anniv visit to Melting Pot. Added balloons, waffer, and picture pkg and special notice that it was our anniv. Server was nice but wasn't made aware of occasion and didn't even mention the picture until I asked. Wife got sick from possible tainted meat...afterwards. Manager checked on couple beside us and didn't speak to us until we were leaving. Got a cheap wooden frame instead of the metal signature MP frame. Our table had a huge crack in it. All of this was a deal breaker. Won't be back. Very disappointed after years of visits.More

AWESOME, AMAZING, GREAT PORTIONS of delicious cheese fondue with vegetables, bread etc. Meats cooked to your choice and plenty of it. Great service too. Went here years ago and said I would NEVER come back due to SKIMPY portions... I mean 3 shrimp for a...husband and wife to share??? Heard from friends that it was much better now and boy were they right. Will definitely be coming back!!!More

Had a reservation at 7:00 they took us right in when the waitress came to the table explained how it worked took our drink order took almost 10 minutes for her to get with the drinks , order the cheeses we wanted to start with...one of the burners at the table was not working properly so the cheese would not melt right , brought out the pots to cook the food with and because the burners were not working took forever to cook the food , the waitress was gone for 20 to 30 minutes at a time did not keep our drinks full and kept forgetting to bring the drinks we ordered to the table, finished the meat portion of our meal took 30 minutes just to get someone to collect all the dirty dishes they just let pile on the table took another 20 min after that to get the chocolate to the order table she turned the burners off at that point so the chocolate started to harden . We had two couples we both share meal and the bill was 175.00 and it was 2 and a half hours after we sat down before we finally finished not worth the money never going back.also the lights above the table are dusty and the bathrooms are dirty.More

This was our first dinner at a Melting Pot and we made the mistake of taking a 1.5 year old. They are not programmed to eat/sit for 3 hours. We ended up eating in shifts to entertain the baby. Meal and experience was thoroughly enjoyable....Perfect for adults. All four courses were great. Staff was excellent. Will definitely visit again.More

Toddlers can sure be tough, but you gotta love em! Come see us next time you have a baby sitter and request lover's lane seating for a romantic experience.
The restaurant was shortstaffed and even ran out of plates. This was after the server had told us that they had been preparing for the weekend for months. How do you make these kind of mistakes after that kind of preparation? Our server was scarcely...seen. Well over an hour just to get salads. Two hours in and we finally got our meal. Totally poor preparation and management. The only reason for a second star is because the bartenders were great and the food wasn’t bad once we got it. It makes us doubt the competence of the entire chain.More

Harvey, No excuse here. Mother's Day combined with local university graduations is tough one. We learned our lesson. If you've been here before, you know it is not the norm. Ask for Jason if you do ever decide to give us another shot, and I...More
Looking for a different dinning experience . This is the place. Yes its pricey when getting the 4 course mean but the expression was with it. Great place for a special occasion. Nice hangout of you want to just do the cheese or chocolate fondue.

Love the five stars Neka. Thank you so much.
This was our first visit. The overall dinning experience was really enjoyable and fun for the patron. Several food options which all food is brought out to the table and you cook. Our server Jay was excellent, great explanation of food and menu, very friendly...and made some great pairing suggestions. We started off with the Cheddar cheese fondue which includes, bread, veggies and apples. Entree was the classic which had beef, chicken, pork and shrimp. They serve with six different dipping sauces which was tasty. Lastly we had the bourbon pecan chocolate fondue with several fruits, brownies, and waffle. I would suggestion replacing waffle with apples. Server did bring us some apples at our request. The only thing I didn't care for was the watermelon cooler that tasted more of sprit then mixture of watermelon, cucumber, lime and white cranberry. Place is clean, seating provided good romantic privacy. Parking could be a little challenging if it got real busy. Very expensive but a great dinning experience if you've never eaten here. I would recommend going at least one time. Enjoy!More

Dave, Thank you for taking the time out to give us a five star review. It is much appreciated.
Excellent food in a cozy atmosphere - with Harry Potter floating candles! Our server Kaylan was excellent, will ask for her again. All the dips for the meats were a yummy surprise. I wasn't fond of the salmon cooked that way, but the scallops &...the steaks were especially tender. Pricey for our budget, but worth it for the experience and tasty food (all our fondues had wine, & the meat/seafood of high quality, so you are getting what you pay for). Going for just cheese or dessert would be fun, too. A good gift for those who need no material possessions. Their Guinness Stout is bottled & cold, so order it early so it can come up to proper temp.More
