Went there as prior to my deployment as my "one last restaurant" meal, and it was SUPERB! Ordered chef's special seafood with goat chèvre, I thought it was going to come with small chunks of seafood, but this plate was LOADED with it! Well worth...More

I made my wife take my here for my birthday dinner with friends. As usual, everything was just unbelievable! The garlic knots are plentiful and too die for! I had shrimp over pasta with a marina sauce. This place doesn't scrimp on the shrimp! The...More

This place is a must for anyone liking Italian food. Pizza is outstanding and many specail dishes to choose from. It looks expensive at first but the servings you are given will feed a family of five. Take home and reheat for several more meals....More

Went in for the lunch buffet. Modestly priced with decent service. The best thing was the soups they had, totally made the trip worthwhile.

Ordered an everything pizza for pick up. Arrived and paid about 29 dollars for a large 16 inch pie. Took it home to enjoy it with my girlfriend and was quite perturbed at how bad it tasted. It wasn't cooked properly; half was doughy. We...More

Description
Vinny & Sonny Chiarello originally opened their doors as "Luigi's Pizza and Subs" in Newport News, VA in 1987. The brothers moved to Newport News from Queens, NY in 1986-- to their humble beginnings in a small pizza joint just down the road on from where they are currently located on Warwick Blvd. They built their business based on their Italian roots & love of their family's original recipes. Growing up, they learned early on the importance of great food and the tradition of sharing meals with loved ones in groups both large & small. Luigi's quickly grew into a successful full-service restaurant specializing in a variety of pizzas & pastas of their own (now) famous recipes. After 30 years, in 2014, Vinny & Sonny closed Luigi's in hopes of retirement. A Mexican Restaurant in its place just didn't make the cut. Luigi's loyalists pined over the loss through countless calls & emails for over a year. The brother's daughters reopened Luigi's in 2016 to "Revive The Next Generation". & so, The Love is Back!
