First of all, I'm from New Orleans, and that makes me a food snob by nature. Secondly, I consider BBQ a Southern thing, and Virginia is too far North for me to consider it "southern". So, I prepared myself to write off the BBQ as...simply "edible".
Surprise! That was in the top 3 best BBQ's I've ever had in my life.
As for comedy, Cozzy's has been around since the 80's. I'm not sure, but I believe it's the longest running comedy club in the whole state of VA. Now, to the average consumer, that may not mean a lot, but but as an entertainer, it's a big deal. Comedy clubs and comedy rooms have been closing at an alarming rate. Clubs have been closing due to poor management, and lackluster entertainment. Which is why Cozzy's is still around. The owner carefully selects who is worthy of gracing her stage, because she knows what her core audience likes. Knowing that is what has kept her in business for over 30 years.
It's ALWAYS A good time there.
Stop by and check it out one weekend. You will not be disappointed.More
This was my first time performing at Cozzy’s. The owner and her staff were on top of everything all of the time. This is a well run comedy club and tavern! The audience area is close to the stage, but customers aren’t stacked into each...other. There is room to breath and laugh! The food is phenomenal! Anything smoked is fantastic! Within minutes you can gain a new friend in this place. No bad attitudes. Just all wonderful humans looking to enjoy a good time together.More
We've lived here for a few years now and decided to give this place a try. We we're not disappointed! Hillarious, fun and good food. We almost didn't even want to review just so we could keep this place to ourselves! Perfect place for couples,...friends or just if you want a good time. We recommend the friend green beans and the tuna bites, both were perfect and shareable.More
This is an intimate, "cozy" venue for comedy shows. By "cozy", some might say a bit cramped if the show is sold out. The condition of the club is quite divey (i.e. I'm not sure I would order food there), and smelled a bit of...stale cigarette smoke.More

There is not really an 'official' dress code, Every time I have been there, people were wearing jeans and t-shirts, shorts (in the summer), or slightly dressier casual clothes when it was a 'Showcase' night.
