Food was good, price excellent, decor was different from average fast food joints. Milkshakes alone are worth the trip. Very very good stop. Well worth visiting!

Prices were reasonable and service was good, atmosphere was great, but quantity wasn't there. We weren't reallly impressed on our first visit to a Cookout. Wouldn't be a regular place to visit. The food was good, but the burgers were too small, didn't seem like what you would expect from a "double/double" or a "huge" burgers.

Ate there when they opened - had hamburger, shake, fries and onion rings. Don't know what the hamburger was made out of - not anything I am familiar with. Shake was whipped fake stuff with a lot of air - not sure what. Fries OK at best. Onion rings were great! Burger King off the Victory exit is way better.

I ate here while visiting Newport News because I had heard how great it was supposed to be. The do have a wide variety of milkshakes. But I thought the service was slow for fast food. My disappointment however came from the food. I had the bbq plate. They serve everything in styrofoam which left all the food "steamed". The... More

It is definitely not the healthiest place to eat, but the prices are good and there is enough food to share. I had the chicken strips and fries. My only complaint is the lack of a healthy choice.

They have good hamburgers, as soon as you enter the restaurant smells yum. Their bacon wraps are really good as well their onion rings. They need to improve their ice tea it is watery no flavor whatsoever. Good prices friendly staff, you can eat there or take out. Yum milkshakes lots of flavory to choose

Even though the mad dash and long lines backed up on Jefferson Ave. to get in this location have died down. The flavor, food choices and cost have not. This place is great for a family. Not to mention they even place K-Love in the Lobby. Great family place to eat

Was on a quick business trip..hotel clerk recommended Cook Out. Tried it and was pleased. Had two different grilled "dogs".. both were unique and tasty...the Mexican was great. Sweet tea was a little weak. Would return again!
