Small narrow restaurant in Hilton Village. We live close enough to walk in good weather which is always a treat and allows and extra glass of wine or cocktail. Chef/owner operated and the man is a killer. Great food comes out of a small kitchen. Recently had a charcuterie, seafood soup, duck breast and a wild board dish. All were... More

Circa is a winner in my book! It's small, intimate, and has outstanding food! One of my favs, the fried oysters! Honestly, I've never been disappointed eating there. Reservations are a must! It's location is in the historic area known as Hilton Village in Newport News VA Enjoy!

Have been here a few times with friends, so have sampled many of the wonderful choices(difficult to choose). One raves about the meatloaf, while another loves the duck. Every single offering is excellent at this small, fine Hilton Village restaurant. Service is excellent. Wines are excellent. The whole dining experience... Well, excellent. 😉

The staff always make you feel at home. The ambulance, food and drink are all fantastic. This is how a restaurant should be run! Did I mention the delicious desert? I'd like to see something better separating the outside from the inside. Each time the door opens, you will get some fresh air if you are seated nearby.

We visited last night with friends and got in at the last minute seated at the bar! We have been reading all the amazing reviews and have been wanting to get here for a while! We were not disappointed! Paul, the bartender, and our waiter, was wonderful. The food was simply beyond delicious! We had the caprese tomato appetizer -... More

The only thing I dislike about this place is the bench seating (not comfy), especially if you get the window table in winter (FREEZING!). Now that we've got that out of the way... All the food here has been perfect, every time. perfectly cooked to order, perfectly balanced flavors (even the cocktails), perfectly seasoned. I wish we could afford to... More

I went with 2 girl friends on a girls night out. We had a great time. Everything we ordered was delicious and we ended up doing all three courses as well as quite a bit of wine. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful as well. Its true its a bit tight in there but it didn't diminish our enjoyment... More

Circa 1918 is an intimate, romantic, upscale dining experience. It has all the accoutrements of a NYC restaurant. Such a fabulous find in Newport News. Everything was delicious from the appetizers to the entrees and dessert. I had the most delectable lamb chops and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his perfectly cooked grass fed filet mignon (huge cut as my husband... More
