L’arome was the surprise stellar restaurant of our entire months journey in France. It was suggested by our property managers, at a home we’d rented in Roussillon. They could not have been more correct. A small place, without a view in a town of views. I say that because it matters. You have to INTEND to stop here and choose... More

Exquisite cuisine in a grotto-like setting, asparagus risotto(barley). Mere steps away from our lodging at Clos du bois, also par excellence

We had the best dinner we could have hoped for. The cold summer soup was exquisite and tasty. The slow cooked pork was as delicious as it was original. Service was very good and the intimate setting was nice. One of the highlights of our short stay in the Luberon.

This was by far an away the best meal we had in the Luberon. The restaurant has a nice feel and style to it. Maybe the staff are a little too relaxed (but still nice). The food was excellent and memorable. We had the Sea Bass and it was delicious and served butterflied. Not cheap, but worth every euro.

A local told us, eat at L'Arome and you will enjoy the french cuisine to the max. Indeed it was a great venue and food extravaganza. We had the gourmand menu, a tasting of all the best the restaurant has to offer. Together with a bottle of rose and we had the perfect evening out. The staff is very kind... More

If you have just one "off the chart" meal in Provence, we recommend L'Arome in beautiful Bonnieux. An extraordinary meal awaits -- we chose lunch, and found it a perfect way to luxuriously dine for 2+ hours.

Sitting outside is best with partial views of the Luberon. The food is delicious and well presented. Get the dessert - you won't regret it!

Just walk up the hill from the Church and you will find this tiny restaurant with it's awnings covering the guest tables and bright green tablecloths. Delicious food and pleasant service made this a great escape during the heat of day for lunch. Don't miss this restaurant in the sweet village of Bonnieux, France.

I had a Duck Wellington and it was truly memorable. Two others in the party had the sea bream and were a little more non-committal. Overall the food was very, very good, though with the lower price menu at €45 the cost adds up. The atmosphere is quite hushed, even outside, I wouldn't go there if you're out for a... More
