The four of us dined here one evening in July and really enjoyed ourselves. The menu is very comprehensive, and fairly priced. The drinks menu is also very 'complete' with lots of choice. Our waiters were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The burgers, in particular, are excellent value - if you opt for the 'mega' (a second patty)... More

Helpful staff who made us very welcome. Food was good, large choice in menu. Kids loved their meals and the ice team. Recommended!

I ate here in a group of 4, with my girlfriend and her parents. Despite it being 11pm, we found ourselves sat next to the most obnoxious young family, with 3 very young children, screaming, shrieking and shouting all through dinner, while standing on their chairs. This was a very obvious disturbance which regrettably the staff chose to ignore. It... More

We stop occasionally and grudgingly for a drink when cycling down from the north of the island, and have never had pleasant or efficient service over many years, though the location on the harbour is just about worth it. We have good French, so that is not the problem. There are many better places to eat in Ars - we... More

We were a party of 8 and had booked for lunch on their second terrace across the street overviewing the harbor. The menu is huge with a lot of choices and the starters were great , main course was so so. The service was way too slow, after we were served our starters, we waited for an hour and a... More

This place catches the evening sun, and is sheltered. Loads of atmosphere and a wide choice on the menu. Really nice mix of people and dog Friendly too. I will return!

The crowds in this restaurant speak for themselves. The atmosphere is very interesting, busy, and vibrant. The waiters are very proficient, and attentive. The food was excellent. This restaurant is a 'must do' if on the Ile-de-Re.

We had lunch here, having had the restaurant recommended to us by a local. It was a busy , bustling place , loads of quirky fixtures and fittings and really good food. Service was friendly, good humoured and efficient. Lovely setting and eating outside would have been a treat but for the rain. Well worth a visit.

We have come here for years just for a drink whilst cycling as we have never been here at a meal time. However this time we came at lunchtime & had a great impromptu lunch. We sat across the road on the harbour side & had a sunny spot. The menu explains the current owners bought the Cafe in 1984... More

We were lucky enough to be visiting some "locals" who have had a home in Ars-en-Re for forty years. They have seen the changes of Cafe du Commerce over the many years. We stopped one day after a long bike ride for a much needed glass of water and wine (ha ha) and really enjoyed the central location over looking... More
