I've reviewed this place twice and visted again in August this year. As ever it didnt disapoint, provided a cheap lunch for the family after the market - £40 for 4 people. Its clean and tidy, food is cheap but tasty - great place to...stop for lunch - not the place for a candlelit dinner though. Cant fault the place.More

We are regular visitors to the cafeteria. The food is excellent ranging from steak hachet and Frits through to mouls and the specials are amazing. This year we had the tuna, the seafood risotto, ratatouille. It is self service so even if all you want...is some cravetts and chips that is fine. Starters range from eggs, froi gris, salad, oysters Mains there will be two specials a day as well as burgers sausages chicken Deserts are normally chilled mouses tarts etc Cheese There is a children’s menus -nuggets, pizza, mussels, burger with chips a drink and desert for 7.50 Euro There is a good wine selection Normally a main meal for two adults and a child comes in at between 25 and 35 Euro. If you sit down stairs outside you can also make use of the bar so if feeding children you can have a drink and the kids a meal. The bar also has some food including crepes.More

We stopped here for lunch and asked if they would do something for a vegetarian and they said they would do vegetarian dish, as there were no vegetarian dishes on the menu. I ordered the vegetarian dish, which I expected to be a plate of...vegetables, and my partner ordered the mussels in cream. These came quickly and I was not disappointed as it was a plate of vegetables, although they were beautifully presented. The mussels were the usual large pan of them. My vegetables weren’t very hot although they were tasty especially with a bit of seasoning. The mussels were, I am told, very nice. We weren’t offered bread which seems odd in a restaurant. We also had desserts. I had the profiteroles whilst my partner had the crime brûlée. Both were large and delicious. To complement we also has a glass each of local rose and coffee. The bill came to €60+ and my plate of vegetables an eye watering €20. This must be the most expensive plate of vegetables as the musssels were less than €15 and meat/fish mains around €20.More

Cafeteria food where you queue with your tray and collect your style piping hot dinner fresh from chef! Everything from tripe to mussels, steak hash and fish! The staff are very friendly and helpful and will assist with heavy trays! I recommend upstairs overlooking the...beach, it has cover when you need it. Then onto the cocktails! They make an excellent Mojito!More

Looking for a repeat of our legendary and wonderful first visit of many years ago when we made this restaurant our home from home. What a disastrous deterioration in welcome. With the place virtually empty we were offered no option regarding seating and received “couldn’t...care less” treatment when we queried this. The menu appeared to offer everything that we were looking for, though prices had risen considerably since our last visit. Despite our warm memories from the past I doubt that we will bother having another look at this restaurant give the unwelcoming (somewhat arrogant) reception we received this time.More

We ate here one night on holiday after looking at reviews on Trip Advisor. It’s self service, which the kids loved. There was lots of choice and the food we had was tasty. Excellent value for money. Nice surroundings to sit and eat in too...with great sea views. Would definitely visit again.More

Just popped in for a beer on a gorgeous day, Lovely outdoor terrace facing the sea at ground floor or first floor level, good selection of beers, wines, cocktails etc. Friendly table service for drinks and the self service cafe looked very busy.

As long as you do not mind taking a tray and going along the food counters, this is the place to go for decent regional food at rock bottom prices. On top of this, on a decent day you can sit out upstairs looking out...to the sea while enjoying your dinner and wine, which is also reasonably priced.More

Had a weeks holiday in Tranche and tried l'equipe for a meal and a drink. The food was excellent and reasonably priced and the staff were extremely friendly. We made it our drink stop after our evening walk most days, and it is dog friendly.

Typical French self service caféteria . Great choices, good quality and low prices. Upstairs has an amazing view over the bay. What is not to like!
