We ate here one summer's evening in Sancerre having booked some time before. The restaurant is small (perhaps between 24/30 covers) but in a lovely, old, interesting beamed room. The tables are beautifully set. Service was good. The food was interesting and original. We had gambas, followed by lotte, beef and duck, cheese (a great cheese trolley) and dessert. A... More

Stopped by again, this time for lunch at La Tour a beautiful restaurant of Sancerre. Enjoyed the 3 course sets, Chicken and Cod lunches with a Domaine Fouassier LesRomains Sancerre. The delicious and beautifully presented cuisine. The chef's presentation most memorable. An fantastic lunch; a must revisit!

We stopped in for lunch at La Tour in the beautiful historic village of Sancerre We enjoyed the 3 course set lunch with a bottle of the local Sancerre. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Nothing was heavy and the combination of locally sourced ingredients with the art of an outstanding chef made the meal one of our... A fabulous experience with Michelin star quality and service. A cold asparagus soup with a tomato sorbet was to die for.

It was as expected for a Michelin star restaurant. A nice mix of seasonal produce cooked inventively. Service was good. Lots of bread to accompany your meal. A fabulous cheese trolley, with other French cheeses as well as the local goats cheese. We had the five course degustation menu with matching wines. Only three wines as I guess there is... More

Service, wine and food are delicious. The cheese table is unlike anything I have seen. Many cheeses from all over France. You pick one or several for that course. It's amazing!

Excellent food with local wines to match and great service. The top degustation menu was excellent, allowing for sampling of multiple local wines. Highlight is definitely the pigeon, and the Pinot noir that comes with it. Truly memorable.

We visited here while on short trip to Sancerre and had a really good meal. Two amuse bouches , two entrees , a main course , cheese, and dessert were all top class and full of flavour. The wine list represents the best producers in Sancerre and is a great way to taste some of best wine in Sancerre. Overall... More

I'd only been to one othe Michelin starred restaurant before and neither disappointed. It is a recipe for quality and innovative food!! We had the degustation menu with matching wines which was great value (especially compared to what Australian restaurants of lesser quality would charge)!! Each dish was a miniature gem and extremely original e.g. Cauliflower risotto with truffles; 3... More

This is a very fine restaurant in any city, here in Sancerre is is a wonder. The progression of Entre through Plats to desert is well conceived.
