Having been rejected by two previous restaurants for being too late, we were lucky enough to be accepted by Le Bistro. The service and food were excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Le Bistro is high on my list of recommendations. The beer as everywhere in France is pricey but only compared to UK. More than made... More

My wife and I were tired and wanted a quick, light dinner. We had a bottle of house white wine and shared a mixed salad. We then ordered a wonderful pizza consisting of pickled artichoke hearts, lean ham, white asparagus and mushrooms. It was a very delicious inexpensive meal.

Service was good and the waitresses speak english (for the linguistically challenged like myself). Indoor seating is a little cramped so I would suggest outdoor seating.

Lovely food. I had the poulet in Camebert with some pasta and the wife had a vegeterian pizza. Both were the excellent, the poulet in particular was very filling so I was unable to sample a sweet. Service was quick but then it was empty when went there at midday

Ate here twice. First visit was great, service was excellent and swift, food was very good indeed. The second visit we sat outside on the terrace, and what a difference in service! The food was great, but the waiters kept disappearing and then served those inside when they did appear. Those of us dining outside had to vie for attention,... More

Although it was very busy the staff remained nice and the food was very tasty. I would advice to go here. We had cod fish and steak.

We arrived here and asked for a table for two. Didn't seem that busy, we got seated within 5 mins but waited 15 mins for someone to come and take our order. We ordered drinks and food at the same time (because we'd had so much time to look at the menu!). We then waited a further 25 mins for... More

Went there with my family (6 adults). We had reserved for a place at the window but when we arrived these places where occupied so they had to put us somewhere else. The pizzas are somewhat strange (some with potatoes on them), but what is not acceptable is that almost all of them where overdone, lot's of black, burned pieces... More

Had a very nice meal here from the set menu, and all of the portions were huge. We had the cheese salad starter and mussels, and was I glad I only eat half of them, as the mains were also large. Two had the burgers, one had cod and lentils, and my husband had the house speciality which was a... More

There were 9 of us who turned up to eat on Friday 1st July. Yes being a Friday it was reasonably busy and we hadn't booked but there were plenty of tables and we were happy to wait. Firstly we were told by the female waitress to go to the other side. When we did that someone else said no... More
