The best restaurant in town, our opinion after 10 days of stay. Run by a friendly Swedish couple (do you speak English?) the menu offers something other than Schnitzel, Burger or Händel (chicken). Small menu but varied, almost single price, slightly more expensive. Good wines

It’s taken me a while to write this but we went with family near the start of the winter season and had a fantastic meal here. Nearly every dish was really good, with a special mention for the houmous and broccoli! The Austrian wine went down very well also and the owner was really friendly and chatty.

…..this gem in BG. At Bettys Bistro, you get a wonderful dining experience regardless of what you choose from the menu. My personal favorites are the chicken burger (juicy and crunchy) and the Asian marinated prawns. Good selection of wines, favorite is Muscateller, so fresh. Remember to book a table as this charming bistro fills up quickly.

Very expensive. Pizza (basically a flat bread with raw toppings placed on it), best part of €20 each. Steak sandwich €19, really tasty but generally with a sandwich I’d expect 2 slices of bread ? Fresh bread for starter - don’t expect butter. No orange juice, apple juice or cola zero. Mojito €11 and mostly ice. I guess we found the food ok, but very expensive for what it was and service wasn’t all that… a bit pretentious and if you’re just looking for a nice meal out I would go elsewhere. Even for a special occasion I wouldn’t come here. I really wish I could say better. #awkward.
Talking of awkward and hashtags, the one toilet for the whole place has a sign that says ‘#happypiss’… cringe.

Go here if your want to feel let down.
Disinterested and, unfortunately, entitled service staff.
Olives offered on the menu but don't come with any bread or oil.
Pizzas offered on the menu but are just a flat bread with a few loose uncooked toppings on. No seasoning either.
If only their aspirations were as high as their prices.

Really disappointing
We came here because of the great reviews
Firstly the restaurant itself was lovely, really comfortable, with soft music- and a lovely smiling grey haired lady in the entrance.
From there to the service, nothing less than polite but the very opposite of warm.
I got a luke warm gluhwein to start with. From there to tapas, veggies (cold and not tasty), shrimps- ok, chorizo (couldnt eat as it was pork, our mistake, but far be it for them to suggest an alternative) and the one bright light, beef with a rocket salad which was very good.
Maybe it was a bad day, maybe the waiter/owner was tired..i dont know..but the other places we went to were warm and welcolming and this place was the opposite. I thought we saved the best restaurant for our last night- i was wrong.

Always visit Bettys several times every year when on holiday in Bad Gastein. Best food in the village if you don't want to eat classic Austrian food every day. Quiet lovely environment. Fantastic staff who elevate your experience to the next level

We visited Betty's on a Saturday for food and some drinks. Great service, best food in town, moderately priced, great atmosphere wirh the music. Just simply a great place. None of that overpriced, plain touristic stuff.

Fantastic service, tasty food at a good price. The new kitchen (Asian touch) is a hit although the old one was perfect. The environment is relaxed with nice lounge music in the background that does not disturb the conversation.
Book in time!!

Tough to believe from the outside, but this truly is a hidden gem. Awesome food (great hummus++ starters), and loved the beef bernaise flambé! And to top it all, excellent and friendly service. Ended up visiting the next night as well…

The food is very nice and tasty and much lighter than in most other places in Bad Gastein. The portions are small and therefore the place feels a bit pricy when you need to order several quite expensive small dishes. The quality of the foods compared to other places is perhaps also what makes the price higher. The tuna tartar was super tasty and the beef bulgogi was also a good potion so seemed like a better deal for 20 E than a few roasted broccoli pieces for 5 E. The dumplings were also nice. Friendly waiter and good service.

We had a very intimate, cosy dinner counting down the hours before the new year. Charcuterie and wine, it was lovely. Food, drinks and staff are wonderful!
