Kanpai offers a vast array of choices in authentic Japanese cuisine at reasonable prices. The service is excellent and the bar is amazing

Initially I questioned the idea of a Japanese restaurant in Nicaragua. I was pleasantly surprised when my sushi came. It tasted fresh and the presentation was exceptional. I've been to Kanpai multiple times and each time I've ordered different things. The fresh curries are exceptional and have me coming back for more! It's hard to find good restaurants in Granada... I know what you're thinking, "Japanese food in Nicaragua? No way" YES WAY! After walking in with a little skepticism I left completely satisfied with an adventure for all my senses so deliciously full. We're talking ready to rule the world full. Not I want to die mcdonalds kinda full. The decor in the restaurant is fabulous and I was... More

As we walked in, a couple emerged (backpackers) and exclaimed "it's not the cheapest place in town but it was well worth it." They were right. This place has an amazing atmosphere and the chef is very friendly (along with the staff) when he isn't busy in the kitchen. Normally, I like to eat traditional local food when I am... More

They were out of rice and pot stickers when we came. All we had was a spicy tuna roll, which was okay but not enough to forgive them for running out of rice at a japanese restaurant. Ten minutes after we ordered they told us they were out of rice and it would be 20 minutes for more rice. I... More

Sushi in Granada Nicaragua? No way. That's what I said too! It was outstanding sushi. Im from California, and love me some sushi! I've got to be completely honest, DAMN GOOD SUSHI. I had a spicy tuna roll and a tuna maki. My buddy had a Cali roll and a chefs choice... No idea, but both super yummy too! The... More

A few days ago we discovered this recommendable place. We did enjoy the atmosphere and liked the detailes of the interior design. The authentic food, made by a Japanese cook, was excellent and there is a huge variety of different drinks. Don't forget to taste the Guayaba juice or one of the funny named coctails on sake base. I appreciated... More

We had really nice experience here. Sushi is really delicious and carefully made by japanese cook. You don't expect to find this kind of treasure in the middle of Nicaragua or outside of Japan. Decoration is nice and it's beautiful and peaceful place to relax and enjoy good food.

Sushi in this place was top-notch and the prices were reasonable as well! We tried several different rolls and all of them were delicious. Service was fantastic and all the staff were more than friendly to us. We also loved the cool decoration and it felt like an authentic restaurant from Japan! We'd definitely visit this place again and recommend... More
