Villas Mombacho has both a marvelous menu and a breathtaking view of the islets of lake Nicaragua. Take the short taxi ride from the center square of Granada and enjoy the breezes in the mid-day off Lake Nicaragua with a tasty comida!

We went to this restaurant, for a light lunch, before taking a boat ride to the isletas. The margaritas were wonderful, the plantains topped with churrasco, local cheese, tomatoes and olives were excellent and the fish ceviche very tasty and fresh. Friendly and accommodating service and nice views of the lagoon.

We had lunch here after a long morning hiking and it was fun! The place is cool overall - on the water with separate, open seating areas and structures. The food was too good. As an app, we had what was probably called queso frito and it was the best. TRY IT and try this place. So good.

Very cute lunch spot recommended by our hotel. Food was good, had the fajitas. Service so warm and friendly and excellent. Tables right on the water, breezy and wonderful. About to get on a sweet boat ride.

The fish here is great and with the side salad, rice, plantain or fries to me price not bad for the quality. Not gourmet but good honest food. The wait staff is quite pleasant particularly the older gentleman. Have been here 4 times and never disappointed. Leisurely lunch, quiet, taking in nature. Great respite from the heat of down town Granada.

I'd echo a number of the other reviews--I'd give the food a 7 out of 10 for quality and value. What sets this restaurant apart from several others with similar offerings are the views of Lake Nicaragua, the isletas, area fishermen, and volcanes Concepcion and Zapatera. Thatched roofs, sand floors, cooling breezes, attentive staff, and good cocktails make for a... More

A well run good restaurant,,, food decent but the ambiance is awesome and fun.. natural sand floor… a upper deck area too but both are fine,,, a view no matter where you sit.. about two miles from center of town,,a $ 4.00 taxi ride, rather remote until you get there. Go during daylight to appreciate the beautiful views and fresh... More

The most fun thing to do in Granada! Rednt a bicycle or scooter, drive down the Calzada to Lake Colciboca, turn right, take it to the end, then take a right and follow the road around all the way until it ends at a gate - there is a dirt path just opast the gate that takes you to this... More

I came here with my family to enjoy the atmosphere and view. We ordered some appetizers and juices as well as beer. The Hibbiscus juice (known as Jamaica in Nicaragua) is delicious here. We got a generous serving of fried cheese and plaintains. The view was amazing, as you see Ometepe in the background...but better than that was the respect... More
