As others have noted, the food is very good. I had a big filet of beef and my wife had a whole fish. I was hoping for more of a fine dinning experience. None if the "I's" or the "T's" were crossed. They didn't even...have some of the "T's".More

A bit overrated in my opinion. I was told and told that I had to go try the beef, which I did. Zaguán is noted for its steaks! I ordered a skirt steak with a pepper sauce, fries and a mixed vegetable assortment. It’s one...of the more expensive restaurants in town and it generally has a pretty good crowd on weekends. But I was disappointed with my meal: not much flavor in the meat and the pepper sauce underwhelmed. The chocolate cake for desert was tasty!! Have not been back.More

My steak was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. The restaurant was clean and the waitstaff were super sweet and spoke English. One of the best restaurants in Granada.

One of the best meals in Nicaragua. It is a ‘steakhouse’ but offers a variety of fresh entrees. The steak I had was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. It was served with a chimichurre sauce, gallopinto, the cheese, and carmelized plantains. I felt as...though I was eating traditional meal. We had several other dishes and all were delicious. The service was excellent and the staff very accommodating. I did notice many Nicaragüense families dining there which let me know it was a local treasure. The meal presentation, and beverages, were everything I could hope for. It is a lovely garden, colonial setting. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return.More

We visited here on the recommendation of our tour guide who reckoned that it was the best restaurant in Granada, he wasn’t wrong. The food is excellent with decent sized portions. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

On a recent visit to the Nicaraguan city of Granada we ate at El Zaguan twice, first for dinner and the next day for lunch. Both meals were much better than those served in the outdoor cafes that line the street behind the cathedral where...most tourists eat. More expensive for sure, but worth it. El Zaguan specializes in beef and while I am always leery of steaks in third world countries El Zaguan's meat was excellent. The steak with jalapeno sauce was tender and the sauce perfect. Everyone in our group had some type of steak and all agreed it was really tasty. The lunch we had included a huge bowl of tortilla soup, excellent ceviche and best of all, empanadas that were the best I've ever had. Usually empanadas seem to be all dough and no filling. These were the opposite. The restaurant has nice decor and friendly staff. You can pay in USD or Cordobas or by credit card. I have no hesitation in recommending this place and would return in a heartbeat.More

The well known Nicaragua national steak with chimichurri sauce is prepared very well here -churrasco! Delicious but the side dish of potatoes and other vegetables is portioned too small. We may go back but, with all the other choices in Granada, it will be awhile....It’s a clean place and great location—walking distance to all downtown hotelsMore

For Nicaragua, this is a pricy place but the steak (its specialty) was exellent and worth the $20. The restaurant would be a fine restaurant if the lighting was not so bright and tables spread out so much around a garden that was not special.

On waiter's recommendation, I had the filet mignon and was not disappointed. Large portion. Flavourful. Wife had chicken filets. Same. Prices for both came to $40 which seemed reasonable.

Hi there, I do not have a menu. Their menu changes every few months, but they always have their specialties which is grilled steaks and other meats. Their Sangria is very good if you like that type of refreshments. Enjoy
