On our last night in Nicaragua, we splurged for a sophisticated dinner here. We had a bottle of sauvignon blanc with ceviche, shrimp cocktail, filet mignon and lobster tail. It was really a home-run meal for every plate. Our server was really friendly too. The best part is that the bill was no more that a normal night out at... More

I may have reviewed this before a couple of years ago, but i can tell you that the quality is still excellent! Steaks are not something you see a lot on menus in Nica, but you see the cows: healthy looking, eating grass in the fields. This is top-quality, grass-fed, organic (I think) meat. I had the tenderlion "Zaguan" and... More

I highly recommend El Zaguan. They served the best filet mignon I've had in a very long time. Overall, the service was great but it was a little slow at the end. Remember to ask for the check at least 10 minutes before you're ready to leave!

I visited Granada with some friends and wanted to have a nice lunch. We checked on Trip Advisor and found this restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff were friendly. We ordered the typical plate from Nicaragua, Carne Asada, gallo pintos and platanos. The food was really good, a little pricey for Nicaragua, but we... More

Located just behind the cathedral in central Granada. Quite a big restaurant but, busy so reservations recommended. The most tender, perfectly cooked steaks. Excellent service. $80 for 2 people - 2 starters, 2 steaks and a bottle of Argentinian Malbec, so not cheap, but definitely recommended.

Try to get there a little before the crowds so you can sit in the garden in the back of the restaurant where there is a pleasant breeze and nice ambiance. We enjoyed both the fish and the steak, both served with fresh vegetables and potatoes. We also got a side of Gallo pinto which was better than most. When... More

My husband and I really enjoyed dinner here. Not only was the food tasty and well prepared, but the staff was friendly and attentive. My husband really liked the Churassco and I had a very nice filet. The prices were slightly higher than our guide book suggested but reasonable and they have a nice wine selection.

Went with a group of 10. Very good steak, sides and appetizers. Menu had some good choices. Chorizo sausage was particularly good. Ceviche was good.

GRanada is an interesting tourist town of Nicaragua. Lots of restaurants around the town square. None more impressive than El Zaguan. Great steak and good fish. The bread and salad to start are enjoyable (and safe for Westerners). You want a nice night out head to El Zaguan!

Went to this restaurant twice during a three day stay in Granada. Excellent fillet at $18 USD. Price for similar quality in US about double, but this is Granada. Cheaper food can be found elsewhere, but the quality is excellent. Sides of a small cup of rice and a small salad and one slice of bread could be improved. Decent... More
