I was recently in search for some Nicaraguan cuisine and this restaurant came highly recommended. I was not disappointed! After a week travelling through Leon, Managua, and Granada, I can safely say that the food I ate here was the best so far. Try the Tipico La Sultana for some fried plantains and fried cheese to go with your steak!

Food was good, it was a nice atmosphere to spend some time with friends. We would have preferred to be seated farther inside the restaurant and not by the door. WE had an overall good experience.

Excellent food, beautiful restaurant. Staff can be a little snooty if they feel you may not belong with the rest of the high society of Granada. I travel and dine hundreds of nights a year at some of the worlds best restaurants, but tent to be very relaxed and like to wear my flip flops while in Nicaragua. We have... More

We went here with some friends we met. I was very please with the service and my entire meal. Started with Chorizo appetizer and has the filet for me meal. Great all the way through n cooked perfect. Some would say it was expensive but it's worth it.

This is a place that gets by on its reputation. I felt like it was a chain production and the food was nothing fancy. I would definitely not return.

This restaurant came highly rated. Here were my challenges: 1. They forgot to smile 2. Asked the server the wifi code three times who was basically dismissive of my request. Finally a manager saw this and replaced him by a server who was more attentive 3. The steak was really average although the flan was out of this world 4.... More

Last night was the first time I have ever left a restaurant without leaving a tip -- I refused to pay the "voluntary tip" included in the bill. I ordered the tenderloin in pepper sauce. This comes with salad and gallo pinto. The salad was meager and uninspiring. The steak was over cooked but delicious all the same (I ordered... More

Ate here twice for dinner during our stay in Granada. Very attentive staff. We had an appetizer of house-made chorizo and split an entree of steak the first night. Came back for filet mignon and fish entrees on the second visit. Probably could not go wrong with ordering anything on the menu. This is on a side street right off... More

As recommended by a friend, we went to El Zaguan for their steaks. Service was great. I ordered the Moralimpia medium rare and hubby ordered the one with pepper sauce medium well. The chefs cooked our steaks EXACTLY what we wanted. Both were tender, juicy, and very tasty. Please don't forget to tip the chefs. They work very hard behind... More
