Not great… just good enough.. only just.

Went for dinner after a ‘must go’ recommendation. Not easy to find as it is now called ‘Signiture’ with the original name only barely visible. The atmosphere is very clinical, nothing cosy about this place. Once we ordered the food arrived very fast which was a bit worrying. 3 dishes were good especially the pineapple fried rice. The deep fried squid with garlic was overcooked and chewy not nice at all. I would go as far and say it might have been cooked beforehand and reheated when we ordered it. The staff even started clearing out the other tables in preparation of closing for the night before we even finished our meal. We were the only table there. Also they only take cash. We will not be going back.

This busy restaurant has moved from White Sands to Klong Prao beach area. Basically it is the same loud staff who get your food ready quickly and clear away sharply for the next customers. Despite this the food is good and value for money.

Great Food, Not very far from Hotel

After a complete disaster all you can eat buffer dinner at our resort (KC Grande) on the first night on Koh Chang. We decided to take a short walk along the road to dined and came across to Nong Bua Seafood. Great place with fresh sea food, varies selection on the menu. At the time we visited, although the restaurant was packed with tourists, but the service was quick and the staff was attentive. Foods were come quickly, very fresh and authentic and very resonable price. We ordered 6 main dishes , it cost us around 1500 baht for 4 person.

Disappoiting visit

We booked a table for 4 for NYE. Very good service at the beginning. Food was disappointing - all sauces were either bland or overpowering. BBQ mixed fish plate lacks favour. Most disappointing aspect of the evening was the service. A large group walked in and all waitresses went immediately to them. We waited over 30minutes to have of food cleared (i had to get up and ask a waitress). It wasn't wiped down. Waited another 20 minutes for a dessert menu and for drinks. The restaurant wasn't very busy for NYE. The waitresses spent a very long time laughing and standing around this large group. Disappointing experience. Would not reccommend this restaurant based on food or on service.

Great fresh seafood options!

I wanted phad thai, but not the menu version with small shrimp (270bht i think) but instead with fresh prawns, nice size about 7 of them from fresh at front iced areas. That was only 300 or 325 bht, and they did it with full phad Thai without extra cost! Asian friend had steamed whole fish in vegetable broth. Same cost-awesome tho having to deal with head and bones-typical in Asia. Saw others choose a fresh fish and have it BBQ- looked great.

Lovely seafood !

End of January/early February had a number of times lunch at Nong Bua Seafood restaurant. As an open air place not very appealing but the food, drinks and service were just great - reason for which we returned a number of times after our first lunch there. We will be back on our next trip to Koh Chang.

Good Vegetable Dish!

We had lunch at Nong Bua Seafood Klong Prao. The stir-fried vegetable was delicious. The staff were friendly. It was busy at lunch time on weekdays.

Good fresh sea food new location

It’s quite a good seafood restaurant the same lady is in charge the seafood is fresh and the service is good but not as much fresh crab available as normal.

Fantastic Food and even Better Staff!

We came as a family of six and ordered a variety of meals, spring rolls, tempura prawns, shrimp pad Thai, pangeang curry, green curry and all of the meals were fantastic!! The complimentary watermelon at the end was a lovely touch! Every single one of the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome! The food comes out quickly and was super delicious, would recommend if on white sands!!

Fast service for a large group on Christmas Eve

Service was speedy fast! Food was good and reasonably priced. Our extended family of 8 walked to Nong Bua Seafood from Apple Beachfront Resort. It took about 10 minutes as we stopped at the roadside shops along the way. We were seated immediately upon arrival even though the restaurant was packed (it was Christmas Eve night). The menu is extensive and includes a nice selection of curry, stir fry and seafood. Prices were quite reasonable (my yellow curry was 180Baht) for a sit down tourist strip restaurant. Everything was flavorful and well cooked. I like spicy and ordered #73 and it was HOT! From that very hot, authentic Thai dish, to the plain buttered egg noodles that my niece ordered (15Baht!!) we were all satisfied. I would recommend!

Good simple food.

Myself and my (thai) wife had lunch here, just fried rice, noodle soup and some drinks but was very good, it's a simple no frills place but food and service are good, lots better than there neighbours.

Seafood with focus on taste and quality

We did visit the branch at White Sand Beach (picture to the right). Dont be fooled by the unpretentious looks. The food is excellent and the seafood fresh. And the service one of the fastest I have ever experienced in Thailand. There was a 12 person group visiting and when they left, myriad employees - like brownies - came out of nowhere cleaning up the place impeccably in a jiffy. And then it is very reasonable, too. And they offer a wide selection - even western food (which we did not try this time). Absolutely recommended if high quality seafood is what you are looking for. Not for a candlelight dinner, though.

Good was ok but pricey

Located near White Sands beach this restaurant is large and does get busy. It's a tourist restaurant so prices reflect this. The food was fresh, came quickly to the table and the portion sizes were good but I was underwhelmed. Rather bland and lacking flavour.
