We were surprised that the restaurant was not as busy as previous visits. They had no entertainment. The food was fine, but the waitress would not honor our coupon for a free root beer float because we didn't get the free beer sampler. Very quiet...More

This is a good place to stop along the wine/beer/cider stops on Hwy 151 in Virginia. We had two samplers of all their beers and tried the one not included in the 10 in the sampler. We also got a giant pretzel with lots of...More

I love the beer from Wild Wolf - they have a great selection and often change their seasonal beers too. I find them far superior to the beers at the other main breweries in the area. Their food and service is good and very consistent,...More

We visited a number of months ago as my husband loves their beer. We had smoked Turkey and Reuben sandwiches that time (HIGHLY recommended!) Today, we had the pot boil and fish tacos. While I wasn't the biggest fan of the boil, it was definitely...More

Wild Wolf is our go-to place in Nellysford. The chef creates great specials nightly and there is a wonderful service staff. We especially enjoy having Ciara serve us, she is amazing and always takes great care of us.

Kind staff, and the food was excellent! Great place to relax, and have a beer. They had corn hole, and yard games to play while having a cold one.

It appears that they play second fiddle to Devils Backbone but not by much. I think they actually do a bit better on some items and as good on others. Beer selection not as wide but still many more than you could try at a...More

The highlight is obviously the range of beers on offer but the food is also good. I had a decent taco with salad and the staff were friendly.

Looks like the question got cut off. The only thing I can say is that the staff were very pleasant and the food was delicious. If that meets your definition of fun, you're all set.

Wild Wolf Brewing Company, established November 11, 2011, is one of just a few mother/son operations in the country. Danny, a classically trained Brewmaster by the Siebel Institute in Chicago, and his mom, a business savvy entrepreneur, have turned a family passion for craft beer into one of the fastest growing breweries in Virginia. The brewery and restaurant is situated in the heart of the Brew Ridge Trail and features a wide selection of hand-crafted beers as well as the freshest local foods in Central Virginia-all in a century old, revitalized Nelson County school house. The ten acre property features an authentic Biergarten, shaded by a protective canopy of 60-year-old Siberian Elms, including a charming gazebo, large Koi pond, and working water wheel. In addition, an outdoor pavilion has been enclosed to allow for a four season dining experience. The pavilion hosts live music every weekend year round. Inside the restaurant, guests are treated to a rustic dining experience, including wrap-around porches that provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains and property. Toward the back of the old schoolhouse guests enter the new building which houses a lively sports bar as well as our brewing facility.
