Giorgio’s, a local family-owned restaurant in the local community. Giorgio’s diverse menu includes Greek, Italian, and American entrees, appetizers, pastas, and handheld items. The white linen tablecloths are an immediate indicator that this is an upscale restaurant. The flawless service from the time you enter to the time you leave ensures a good dining experience. We ordered the delightful brie flambeau with pita bread as an appetizer. The entrees we ordered were enjoyable. They included the Athenian Chicken, Filet of Salmon, and there weekend special of Parmesan Crusted Swordfish. All were served with rice and broccoli and choice of salad or soup. The entrees were of high quality and the salads were very fresh. They have an extensive wine selection since they incorporated Wine Styles Montclair, a full-service wine shop and bar. The portion sizes were adequate. I recommend leaving room for their scrumptious Tiramisu dessert! Appetizers, soups, and salad prices ranged from $3 to $25. Pastas and entrees ranged from $16 to $35 and sandwiches from $14 to $19. Gourmet mini pizzas ranged from $12 to $17. Kids menu items ranged from $8 to $9. Additionally, they offer catering and banquet menus. Recommend for its delicious food and excellent service.

Stopped on the way south to get out of traffic for a bit and we weren’t disappointed. It’s a little further off the highway that other choices but so worth it. Loved the spanakopita and had a veal special with wild mushrooms, which was a little different with earthy flavors. The baklava was sweet and honey soaked with a crisp top. The chocolate cake and eclair cake were good too. Lots of plain choices for kids too. Also don’t let the outside fool you the restaurant is pretty big.

Due to hubby's health concerns, we only do take-out at this time. We have ordered twice from Giorgio's and enjoyed our meals at home. The chicken Chicken Marsala and Shrimp Piccata were both very good. On another visit we ordered gyros. I recommend asking for extra sauce to go with the gyro. All things considered, we will be ordering again from Giorgio's in the future.

A friend and I attended a wine tasting event here, safely in a heated tent with adequate physical distancing. Then we stayed for dinner on the patio. Food and service were both excellent.

Trip advisor, forced to categorize this, considers it "fine dining." Had a little trouble getting service, waiter didn't notice we were there for almost ten minutes, and this was a Veteran's Day Monday night at 8 pm. Flagged down the busgirl for bread. Waiter was apologetic and wanted to make it up to us. The bread was stale, the wine was good, the food was not poor (mushy spaghetti seems like what the mid-atlantic states consider the proper way to make it). I had the definite impression that I was paying too much for food of this quality level prepared with such little skill. I'd give the food a C grade, the waiter a C, the location and ambiance a C+ and the busgirl a B.

I thought that this would be an Italian restaurant but its heritage is clearly Greek. I guess the trend nowadays is towards Mediterranean that combines both. Lots of seating available at 6 on a Saturday night which is at least partially explained by a Greek festival that weekend in the area.
Gyro sandwich was just what I would hope for. Lots of tasty meat with all the fixings in a pita wrap. French fries were probably frozen but I have few expectations for them unless the menu specifies fresh-cut. Desserts in a case at the entrance looked scrumptious.

This was our second visit to this restaurant. We came back for the pizza, because it is truly delicious! Their wine selection is excellent too. There is a wine bar right next to the restaurant with a connecting door. I am deducting one star because the pizza dough is now machine made. I was very dissappointed to see such perfect round and smooth edges on our pizzas. I loved the hand made artisan look, but it's not there anymore. Notwithstanding, the awesome taste is still there. We had white and Greek pizzas with Riesling and Sauvignon blanc. The desserts are good size and very filling. My mother had the carrot cake. Service is decent too.

If I lived closer to Montclair, I would be a regular here like my good friend, Cheryl. This family friendly restaurant knows how to cook great food and has a way of welcoming everyone in as though we are all family. It is always an uplifting atmosphere, which is much needed in today's world. My wife and I joined Cheryl and her friends here for drinks at Winestyles and dinner at Georgio's. I have eaten here several times before, but this is my first review. My wife and I split the Mahi Mahi and the grilled octopus. The octopus was perfectly cooked as was the Mahi Mahi. We topped off our dinner with a couple of glasses of United Chardonnay. Brittany was our waitress and she was vert attentive, taking great care of the five of us. I really need to come here more often!

Our family met at Giorgio's and had a great time.We started wuh an order of grilled octopus and the Greek sampler. Even though the portions were very large, we requested a second octopus. This delicious appetizer was tender and excellent1
For our meals we ordered the Grilled Beef Tenderloin Shishkebab, A double order of the Greek Style Pork Chops, Chicken Souvlaki on Pita and the Chicken Souvlaki Platter. All of the meals selected were very large portions and we had left overs fot lunch the next day.
Brooke, our waitress, steered us right on every recommendation and provided excellent service. We will be back!

We went with friends from the area to what they described as a real find in a specialty restaurant and wine shop. They were right! Beginning with a vegetable appetizer, we went to a second appetizer featuring liver like none I have ever had before. An entre of lamb and orzo in a homemade marinara sauce was next. The finishing course was pork tenderloin in polenta. Marched with wine, we almost had to be carried out of the restaurant. Perfectly prepared, professionally served - a real treat!

Having lived in the Mediterranean region (as has my relatives and friends), we enjoy the culinary trip back to memory lane. Parking is a little difficult for people in wheelchairs, and once you roll up the ramp to the restaurant, you are fine (with an easily accessible bathroom, too). Smaller that some restaurants, okay décor...but for those of you who have live in the Med/Middle East, you know the BEST Restaurants are often the smaller less heavily decorated ones. You are there for the food, and THAT...you will enjoy here at Giorgio's, quite the authentic taste and very good portion sizes for the fair price...a tasty treat for the mouth-nose-eyes! :-D Somewhat limited menu means they can SPECIALIZE in really making it the right way. Those of you who love Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern (Turkish-Greek) food will recognize the wonderful plates of tasty treats. THIS is why my family & friends come here, REALLY GOOD FOOD! :-D Try the Avgolemono Soup, Horiatiki Salad, and Athenian Chicken or Chicken Souvlaki...and of course, a piece of Baklava for dessert (of course by that time, you'll need a doggy bag, and food coma will begin to set in...what a great feeling). Enjoy trying new things with family & friends, and share off each other so you can sample many tasty new treats, and become hooked by their flavorfulness! Good Stuff! Enjoy! :-D

Admit that a Monday is not the best night to eat out, but cold soup, burned entree(evening special), dirty blinds and bathrooms will keep us from returning. The staff is still very friendly.
