Don Valerio’s is a reasonably priced TexMex restaurant located off route 13. It serves the usual TexMex food (that is found at most US Mexican restaurants) at reasonable prices. The Wait staff is very courteous and efficient. The food plentiful. Service is fast. Try the...Camarones Gratinados appetizer and an horchata.More
We ordered two soups and tacos, $38 tab... food was just blah... I asked if the side of guacamole was freshly made, waitress said yes and we got brown mush... soups where a tortilla and a chicken soup and they were the exact same soup...except one had Mexican cream and a few strips of tortilla. We stopped because we had a 4hr drive ahead of us, but it was disappointing.More
We were headed to Ocean City and stopped in for a quick meal, they were very busy with several parties, so it wasn't real quick. Their chips and salsa were not that great compared to our local Mexican restaurants--I don't think they make their own....The food was Ok but nothing out of the ordinary, certainly not spicy. It was reasonably priced like most Mexican restaurants.More
After a wonderful night out of town my husband and I wanted to end our trip with some delicious Mexican food, our favorite. Don Valerio’s has some serious work to do when it comes to authentic Mexican, or flavor at all for that matter. My...husband got the burrito and said, “It tastes like a boiled chicken breast with some tomato sauce on it. The beans taste like they came out of a can.” I really disliked the fish tacos for lack of flavor. I’ve NEVER left rice behind. I’ll even eat what my husband has left and I didn’t even want the rice. Will never return. Maybe a new chef will keep the place open.More
My wife and I are picky with Mexican food we have 5 Mexican restaurants around our home town, we travel to the farthest one every time we go out for Mexican food because of there quality and drink menu. So while out of town we...where werry about trying a unfamiliar Mexican restaurant but where pleased we did. Our son been craving a taco all vacation we spent on chicoteage island. But we refused to wait in line for 20 minutes and spend $6- $8 on a soft taco there on the island, so stopped here on our trip home to satisfy our son, the chips and salsa are great, be sure to ask for the white cheese sauce for the chips they don't bring it to table with the red salsa but will upon request, it was quite teasty! My wife and daughter got chicken and fried rice. Very tasty, my son got chicken burrito and fries, he loved it his plate was as clean as fresh out of the dish washer when he got done, very unusual for our son while we dine out. I got a #7 Chicken enchilada, chicken burrito it was covered in a very tasty fresh mole sauce and cheese enjoyed our meal very much and even after 4 drinks and a margarita for the wife was under $30 for dinner. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Virginias eastern shore.More
While Traveling I stopped here for Dinner. Like most Mexican Restaurants they have reasonable Pricing. However their food was bland & dry. There was little to no seasoning on the food. The Refried Beans were more like a mush than anything else. If you must...stop I would go someplace else in the area. However the Staff was pleasant & friendly.More
Not real Mexican food. It's the American version of Mexican food. Everything is mushy and tastes the same. Can't differentiate any of the food items.
Busy, buzzing restaurant, lots of staff. Excellent jumbo Mararitas, warm chips and salsa. Quick service. Delicious eats. Very enjoyable.
Had the shrimp quesadilla which was excellent, had really good flavor to it. Another member in the party had a vegetarian option (seared) which was also very good and seasoned to perfection. Would definitely recommend this place to other people.
