My husband stops here every week for the delicious homemade tamales! They are awesome! The first time he took me there I was thinking, "What the heck?!" This is a small market in the town of Marshall. You can get home made hummus & terrific fried chicken. (good smoked pork on many weekends). Home style cooking.

We were driving looking for some food options and happen to find this place on maps. From the outside it looks like a run down gas station type store. But when you enter, it is a typical basic grocery and has a small deli on...the back side. The owners are this great Greek couple who were so nice and friendly. He gave us sample even before we mentioned that we were looking for food. The hummus and taboleh salad was perfect. They also had chicken tamale and fried chicken which was great. The quality and taste matched or was even better than most average places in the city. I was really amazed at the quality considering we were literally in the middle of nowhere. This place is a definitely a stop when you are heading into the Shenandoah valley and all the wineries nearby.More
