Celebrated our anniversary dinner there again and so glad we did! Truly authentic German cuisine. Love the family style side dishes with so many choices. The roasted red pepper soup with crabmeat is outstanding! Very nice wine list with several German wines. It was very difficult to select a dessert because they all looked so yummy, but went with the... More

My daughter and I went here for a “Daddy/Daughter Supper” and were not disappointed. A couple of general comments first... If you're driving down from Northern Virginia, it's a long trip. Figure more than the 90 minutes that the online services will tell you. Make reservations if you're going on a Saturday evening (as we did) or another popular time.... More

This is a standalone restaurant on the side of art 29. It is in the middle of nowhere. But, people will drive an hour for dinner. They serve classic European dishes. Everything looks spot on and wonderful. I seem to be stuck on the Jäger Schnitzel. The Goulash Suppe and Steak A Poivre are stand outs. Do not miss out... More

Ate dinner at BC last Sunday, with another couple. They ordered the salmon special (cauliflower crusted salmon, served with sweet potato mousse) and were very pleased with their dinners, as well as with their dessert (Sacher Torte). My husband and I chose from the more traditionally German selection - Wiener Schnitzel and Mandel Schnitzel. Neither of us were happy with... More

Our first visit to a German restaurant that was highly recommended (and frequented) by family members. Main courses come with a choice of 5 sides which are served family style. Large dinner portions so prepare for leftovers. Very popular and reservations needed. *Wish I had ordered the pretzel:)*

NY Strip was some other cut of beef sliced to look like a Strip Steak, full of fat and grizzle. Side dishes cold and horrible tasting. Onion Soup so salty and had hard croutons in it barely edible. Scallops were not cooked and thrown on a bed of horrible tasting potatoes with a lime on top how weird is that?... More

Mid-afternoon stop after wine tours. Perfect stop now that they open at 11:30 AM on Saturday. Coffee was delicious. Two of us had potato pancakes with sour cream and apples. And two of us had dessert. Chocolate mocha cake with raspberries and cream and Black Forest cake with cream. Located on Rt 29 Madison County. My friends said they liked... More
