My family loves this little restaurant. Its small only a couple tables, but the food is awesome, the staff are friendly and makes you want to come back.

My husband and I stop at Mandarin Express in Madison, Va. whenever we have a taste for Chinese food - and we are never disappointed! I always order their Chicken LoMein and my husband always orders their Chicken and Broccoli in Oyster Sauce (something not...on the menu that they make especially for him). The taste of everything is always delicious and it's always freshly made and hot. The young lady who take our order is always so sweet and friendly - and she remembers we don't need all the little sauce packets, so she never includes them. And her smile is wonderful to see each time we visit! Mandarin Express prices are very reasonable - and they have lower Lunch prices before 3 pm, so we try to time our visit before that time. Nothing like a "home own Chinese" to make your lunch or dinner fun and delicious - anytime you want it! Annie and Mack Rowe, Madison, Va.More

The BEST Chicken Lo Mein in the area - loaded with lots of chicken. I am always tempted when I go to the Food Lion Plaza in Madison, Va., to stop in and get myself a carton of this deliciousness to carry home! That lasts...me for a couple of meals and is wonderful - and they are always so quick and friendly and inexpensive - try it! Annie Rowe, Madison, Va.More

Mandarin Express is our "go-to" place for Chinese food in Madison, Va., and we love it! Our favorites are chicken lo mien and chicken/broccoli in oyster sauce. They make both of these so well - and it's nice to know, too, if you pick up...your food before 3 pm, the price is lower! Portions are always generous. Thank you to the wonderful staff who run Mandarin Express - we plan to keep coming to you for delicious food! Annie and Mack Rowe, Madison, Va.More

Food is very good, large portions. Prices are in line with other Chinese restaurants in the surrounding areas. A small eat-in area...seems to be mainly take-out.

As Chinese, I was quite happy to see a Chinese restaurant after few days traveling in US, but as expected, the Chinese restaurants are just too disappointing. The material they use is not fresh, full of soy sauce, everything looks already made, and you have...no idea how long they have preserved... The chicken and chicken wings are deep fried can still see hair, and where is the crab legs from the seafood combination picture on the menu?More

This is the only Chinese restaurant in our small town and is busy most of the time, so its fresh food at its best.. but the bad news is they don't seem to use premium chinese vegetables and the dishes are always missing ingredients, like...straw mushrooms. They will use regular mushrooms instead or over use green peppers in everything as a fill in. The fried rice in the combination dinners or luncheon specials is a joke, its just rice...and the egg roll with lunch is very small as with portion size in both. The egg drop soup is so salty and tasteless. Stick with the reg menu such as the fried rice and such. It was such a great place until about 3 years ago, we feel disappointed and cheated now days when we get from take out from them...we now go south about 12 miles to the new take out across from walmart...much better and less skimpy...More
