I live in the same Lynchburg, as the one that answered my review. I know prices have went up on gas, food etc. That doesn't explain why the food wasn't up tp par. That's what you should have addressed

Hank is awesome! He went above and beyond to help us understand the menu as we ordered the Texas omelet. The Omelets were cooked perfectly as well as everything else.
Everything great except the grits were opened from a package and microwaved. Terrible. Should advertise this. When I walked in waitress acted as if I knew their process and was kinda rude.
So sorry to disappoint on this visit. Our server should not have been rude to you. Please email me dave@texasinn.com and we'll try to make it right for you.
It's a great, quick lunch spot with classic American diner fare - and a ton of hometown charm. If you are looking for something cheesy, greasy, and easy that will hit the spot, this is the place! Can't wait to go back the next time...I'm in Lynchburg.More
What a cool spot this is! Yummy food, a warm welcome, quick service - will definitely hit it up anytime we're in Lynchburg!
If you haven't been to the Texas Inn, be sure to find the time to stop by and grab a Cheesy.... "All The Way" you will not be disappointed!
Texas Inn Cornerstone is my go-to spot for a quick bite to eat – a a must visit when in Lynchburg. Try the Cheesy Western!
In town to drop my daughter off at school and had heard how great this place is from some friends. I was not disappointed. Food was delish and the servers were friendly. I will be back!
I have been eating at this place over 60 years. What have they done to the chill? It's like eating air. I mean no taste no nothing! Shame on them! I can get better from a can. I will not eat at this place again....It's like a bad dream! A friend told me something had gone wrong with the chili and I had to go and see for myself. He was right. Something is truly messed up at the Texas Inn. Goodbye Texas Inn, you were great one time but you ain't no more.More

Anytime I've mentioned Lynchburg to anyone, they instantly rave about the Texas Inn at Cornerstone. Now I see why! Pure comfort food at its finest AND the Southern hospitality that I look for when I'm visiting a restaurant. I ordered a Cheesy Western and I'm...hooked – will be going back ASAP!More
I'm from Richmond and was just passing through Lynchburg, but my first visit to Texas Inn's Cornerstone location made it crystal clear as to why it's considered a Lynchburg staple. The food was delicious (Cheesy ALLLL the Way), the people were charming, and the atmosphere...had a fun community feel. It'll definitely be my new lunch spot when I'm passing through the 'Burg.More
I had eaten at the downton location years ago and thought i'd learned my lesson then, but no, I was in the area and hungary so against my better judgement I decided to give this new location a try. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and ice...tea. The burger was served cold. So cold that I could not tell the difference between it and the tomato that was hiding the pitiful small paper thin substance that was being passed off as a hamburger. The fries were OK and served hot. The tea was also OK. Service was lacking in that when my food was served that was the last time I had an interaction with my server. She was to interested in her cell phone. It wasn't that they were busy as there was a scant three people in there at 5:00pm. The floors were filthy with pieces of fries and napkins littered about. These "legend" places are mostly all the same. They hang their pride on the wall with how long the've been in service when they should be involved with improving their lot in the numerous places to eat now in this town. So if you want to say that you have eaten there just to say that you did then enter at your own taste bud risk.More
