My son and I were visiting Liberty University for a couple days and stopped in the Tea Room for afternoon tea. It was FABULOUS! The finger sandwiches and scones were amazing as well as the tea! Hoping he decides to go to school there just for this place!

Ploughcroft is so charming, and the food is wonderful. I'd recommend the chicken & mushroom pie, along with any of the desserts.

Cute place for tea and chatting. The chicken mushroom dish is very good. The place settings are eclectic and it's a nice step out of the ordinary.

I went to Ploughcroft for tea and lunch for afriend's birthday. The tea is wonderful. The decor and mismatched China are charming and warm. The service was attentive. The bangers and mash were fabulous. It was a little expensive.but worth it for the experience. Lunch truly felt like a special experience and that is hard to find these days

What a great little English tea room. I called mid week to make a reservation for 12. Pat and all the staff (sorry terrible with names) were fantastic. It was like meeting an old friend upon arrival. We had afternoon tea in the family room as a celebration for a 70 year olds birthday. The tea was plentiful, with a... More

I fell in love with Afternoon Tea on a visit to London and still daydream about it. I started seeking out tea houses when I'd visit New York City, and then I was overjoyed to discover a spot for tea right in my own town. I've been a regular ever since. Owned and run by a true Brit -- you... More

Lovely place with antique decor with a heavy British influence. Everything from the tea to the soup and the scones are delightfully delicious.

Absolutely love coming here! Quaint, lovely atmosphere! A little bit of English right here! Onion tart is the best! And the trifle is luscious when they have it!!! Going to be taking my 4 yr old granddaughter soon to have her first real tea party!!

This was my first time at Ploughcroft, and they do it right! My daughter and I came in the afternoon and ordered the Victorian Tea, which serves two. Compared to other tea rooms I've been to, it was a great price. Then we tasted the sandwiches and pastries-- absolutely delicious! I asked about the recipe for one of the cookies,... More

We were there for a special event after normal hours. Thus our experience may not be typical. They tried to serve our large group with two waitresses and the results were what you expected. We did not get any greeting or water until after 20 minutes of arrival. To do that we had to flag down the waitress. The courses... More
