Naturally, the sweets are indeed treats, notably the mixed fruits tarts. But many locals head to this restaurant for their lunch sandwiches. The hamburgers are especially good with both the buns and the potato chips made on the premises. Casual, friendly, tasty. What more could a person ask for?

I had a heavenly croissant, served warm with butter. We visited during a slow time of day (mid afternoon). My son's potato chips were cooked fresh, just for him.

Great local hangout, especially for breakfast, or a coffee break. The owners, Shane and Adrian, are welcoming to the regulars and the newcomers,W&L students and VMI cadets, tourists, and local businessmen. Their dogs are also welcome! Coffee is not fancy, but comes with free refills. Resisting the wide variety of pastries, cookies, cakes, and pies is really difficult! Love the... More

We arrived early knowing the college families would fill it up on Labor Day and received our order fairly quickly. The blueberry muffin was yummy as was the breakfast sandwich and omelette. We ordered chocolate chip pancakes but received a waffle instead. Our server was very apologetic and left the waffle (also yummy) but when she promptly brought pancakes there... More

Sweet Treats is a wonderful step back in time. Walking into the cozy cafe encourages visitors to enjoy the tin ceilings, art on the walls, and wonderful smells. From the robust, specially brewed coffee to the pecan sticky buns and breakfast sandwiches everything was delicious. We even left with some treats for the long car ride home. Delicious!

We found this place on Trip Advisor while traveling down I81. The staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. One of our party members ordered a curry dish which took a very long time to come out of the kitchen. No big deal, it just showed us that they were making the dish to order. Two of us... More

Stopped in for breakfast and had a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Such a wonderful stop, and great food. Good selection, small-town friendliness and atmosphere, always a good mix of locals and visitors. Shane and Adrian, and their staff, have great, personal, customer service, and are a super part of the community. We always enjoy our visits when in town.

The bakery ran out of coffee and ice. Very narrow selection of bakery items. Over priced for what we got.

Great little locally owned location for breakfast, drinks, and general noshing! The omelets and the crab bisque are just phenomenal AND the staff are equally the same. There is a very quiet, air conditioned, always frequented by a few locals, inside serving area but we preferred the outside back porch under one of the umbrellas! You order at a counter... More
