We like Bistro, and our recent experience did not disappoint. Covid protocols in place. Light crowd, and service was excellent. We had the special, sort of a shrimp/scallops scampi and shrimp and grits. Both were delicious. Try the desserts. We had all of them, I...thin and they were all good.More

Steak not cooked to proper temperature. No accommodation. Shrimp and grits lacking flavor. Try Southern Inn.

Though no outdoor dining area here, the indoor space has been well set up to achieve social distancing. The food was excellent and the staff some of the best ever. You won't be disappointed if you head here for a meal!

We tried to eat at the Southern Inn, the wait was over an hour. We walked and found this wonderful place. I had shrimp and grits- to die for!!!!!!! My husband had the Jumbalaya. There was so much detail given to each entree. Even the...garden salad had these wispy, shaved onions. The Chef is a keeper!!!! My husband and I are pretty picky. The waitress and server were wonderful! Even the bartender was warm and kind. The portions were perfect. Do try the bread pudding with a wonderful sauce. Do not overlook this gem!!!More

Dinner on a Friday night was very pleasant. Brie appetizer and spinach salads were a perfect pairing along with a nice rose.

We got curbside carry out from Bistro on Main in May, and the service and the food were fantastic. My pasta dish was excellent, but my partner had the fish and chips, and I regret that we did not get 2 orders of that to...go for the next day. I have never had such amazing, delicious, crispy, tasty fried fish. If you're lucky enough to be eating here when it's on the menu, order that, and then get a few orders to go, or go back the next day. I read on their website that if you don't see something on the menu that you want, you can call ahead and see if they can make it for you anyway. I am going to take them up on that! The cherry on top was the eco packaging. We didn't set foot inside the restaurant, so I can't speak to that, but given what we did experience, I'm sure it's all top notch. Start to finish, we're huge fans after one meal! Enjoy!More

We were in Lexington prepping for our relocation there in April and have found that the Bistro is one of those A to Z restaurants that is excellent across the board... service, ambience, food offerings and the quality of the food. We were walk-ins on...a Wed night and were happily greeted by the the folks who run the place... and given our choice of seats and we picked the table for two window seat... the best seat in the house. This is our 4th or 5th dinner/lunch here... and the consistency of excellence is what makes a meal here so special. And... they know how to fix seafood. And that can be the canary in the mine for some restaurants. Keeping with this, my wife had a perfectly cooked whole trout. I love duck and this can be a dish that can only be two ways... great and ordinary. This was great as it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Our side salads were fresh with a tasty dressing. The service is always excellent and it was the case again as there were three people checking on us throughout the meal. BTW, everything is casual fine dining, except the prices. Very reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Bistro will be on our restaurant rotation when we move here full-time.More

This is our second review of the Bistro. This is a fantastic place in a quaint little town. Excellent service and wonderful food. I had the Cajun Omelet and my wife had the Bistro salad. Very fine presentation. Highly recommend.

My daughter and I visited after being away for several years. We stopped for lunch on our way to Tennessee the burgers were just as yummy as they had been in the past. Soup of the day was vegetable minestrone and was very flavorful.
