My husband and I dined here for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter Randy was extraordinary and offered us superb recommendations for our appetizers, entrees and wine. I loved the filet Mignon...cooked perfectly. We ordered pre-fix and enjoyed appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. Everything was fresh and tasty. Palio is so much better than any of the restaurants that have recently... More

I miss my travel to Italy but this restaurant takes me back there. Great flavors and love the calamari. You won't be disappointed.

Nobody there at 6pm on Saturday should tell you something. Satellite radio in dining room was completely out of sync with the ambiance. Linguini with clams disgusting; served floating in a pool of greasy water. Lasagna was clearly frozen and reheated, reminded me of Stouffers. The "accoutrements" served with the house salad really means chopped purple onion and a hothouse... More

Great visit on a girls weekend trip. The food was so yummy, the service was great and the place is gorgeous. I had the lasagna and a salad which was yummy. Others had the chicken Parmesan which they loved and scallops which were great. I got the chocolate lava cake which was amazing and others liked the creme brûlée.

I went there with my mother once and the pasta was so bad (like mashed potatoes) we had to send it back. Decided not to eat there again. Went back recently however and the pasta was OK, but the bolognese sauce was not that, it was some spicy ragu which wasn't that great. Poor quality if you know true Italian... More

Nothing special considering the prices. We had the onion tart for appetizer and it was disappointing to say the least. The entrees weren't bad but they weren't great. For $30+ per dish I expected a lot more. We decided to skip the desert based on the quality of the other food.

Very attractive restaurant. Beautifully appointed and table settings. Great location: just a few yards from the Historic Court House and grounds. The menu is now very American. Steaks and seafood. Great service. The cocktails were prepared to perfection. They offer various rooms for dining. We ate upstairs by the window which gives a pleasant view of the town. The food... More

Another very good dinner at Palio of Leesburg. My family was visiting from Hawaii and we wanted to take them to a special dinner. The prie fixe is always a great deal. For an average of $55 you get an appetizer, salad, main course and dessert. I had the rustic mussels, wedge salad, veal chop and lava cake. It was... More

I sat at the bar for a glass of wine and their tomato bisque. The bartender was very knowledgeable and let me try a few to get the right pick. She really knew about the wines, where they came from, and how they would taste. I settled on the Brazin, which was quite tasty! The tomato bisque was very good.... More

Description
The award winning Palio Ristorante Italiano is a combination of three of the premier historic buildings in downtown Leesburg, Virginia. Palio provides Leesburg's newest venue for dining, entertaining, and banquet facilities. Palio has designed and built an establishment like no other in the Washington area, utilizing unique combinations of cherry wood, onyx, and antique mirrors and chandeliers. The design has been meticulously configured into the existing space in these historic buildings.

The theme of the Palio derives from the ancient horse race -beautiful and bold, risky and exciting, a feast for the eyes as well as the senses. Good music, a fine wine selection, house made pasta and bread prepared on site, and sourcing from local producers, can only be described as a beautiful experience- all presented in an historic setting that would be as comfortable in Italy as it is in Loudoun County.
