We had grilled scallops cooked and seasoned just right. Also had seafood sampler with shrimp, oysters, scallops and crab. Both entrees were delicious. Sweet potato fries sprinkled with powdered sugar were like dessert.
We went in for early meal and football watching. No one was there and STILL service was awful. We ended up slugging down our glass of beer and forgetting about a meal or the football game. Disappointing, as we've been there before and it was...much more lively and much more pleasant.More
Some time ago, Coastal Living magazine named KC’s as the top seafood dive in Virginia. It is an accolade well deserved. The traditional broiled, steamed or fried seafood is superb. The hush puppies hot and crispy. The “crab chips”, homemade potato chips lightly dusted with...Old Bay are a must try. They also have great hamburgers.More
Such a friendly welcome from Kevin and Tashima! They made our visit to this great seafood restaurant extra special.
We recommend sitting in the bar area, as it has a great feel for couples. We chatted a bit with Tashima and went with her recommendations...of the hush puppies, crab dip (HEAVY on the crab and served with delicious pita chips), crab salad sandwich and fried flounder sandwich.
The portions are generous. The seafood is fresh and tastes just amazing.
Come and visit Tashima, Kevin and the rest of the staff. You will have a fantastic meal and come away with a smile on your face.More
We ate here about five or more years ago and disliked it. On a recent accolade by an associate, we revisited today at 3pm for a late lunch.
Small salad bar was clean and fresh. We had a bowl of crab bisque for an app,...brownish in color and okay flavor, but no lumps of crabmeat. Crabcakes were very good and well-portioned. Broiled seafood platter was below average for $26. The flounder had zero taste, oysters (fried) were tiny and tasted bad. Scallops were just okay, and steamed shrimp was without flavor.
Service was great and staff was cordial and affable.
In a pinch, we'd probably return, but maybe not. Kilmarnock doesn't offer many meat and veggie options at fair prices.More
