Perfect view down Craddock Creek. Polite staff and good menu. We have a town house close by and enjoy dinner there when not grilling at home. Very close to Smith Mountain State Park. Enjoy your evening.
View is perfect. Couldn't ask for a more relaxing place. Food on the other hand could be better. We ate outside. Silverware on table but no pepper and salt. We had to ask for it. I had broccoli cheddar soup. Soup part was fine. But...huge chunks of broccoli that were very crunchy and mostly stems. Baked potato was.fine but small. Hubby had fish and chips which he said were ok. Restaurant is located in condo building at Mariners Landing. Not a lot of signs to get there. Once inside building, we had to ask someone where to restaurant was, down to basement from elevator. Decor was nice. I would go back only for scenery.More
Out to dinner with the family while on vacation at Smith Mountain Lake (found Heath’s Waterfront Grill on Trip Advisor). In short, the food was bland, nothing to write home about. Everyone on our group left food on our plates (portions were moderate, appropriate for...an adult). The waiter was friendly, but was either new to waiting or poorly trained. He dropped food from a plate while serving, forgot to bring a spoon when asked, and didn’t bring a bill (we had to just give him a credit card without seeing the bill first). Best thing about the restaurant was the view of the water.
Recommendation: boat on by this one.More
I was married at Mariners Landing in June and opted to have the reception in Heath's Restaurant. Cliff was on top of every little detail and met every one of my requests. The word "no' was never said. Cliff and the owner did a fantastic...job decorating the tables exactly how I wanted them. The food was delicious. The servers and bartenders were friendly and made it a great event as well. I need a basket for my wedding favors and Cliff loaned me his personal basket which was the ideal basket. He continuously went above and beyond. We can't wait to returnMore
There are not many options when you are on top of a mountain and starving. This place is fine for a bite. Staff is very nice. Food is OK, I had crab cakes, very thin, and salty. I’m used to thick crab cakes that resemble...a burger. My husband had a steak, that was “OK”, and my daughters had a Reuben that again was “OK”. Sorry to be monotonous, but that’s all I got . Beautiful view though...More
We were staying in a condo where this restaurant was located. We just showed up for dinner and were told a "private event " was taking place so if we wanted to eat we would have to eat outside. We agreed even though it was...very hot . Our server promptly took our appetizer and drink orders but service went down after that. Not his fault but he was probably having to serve both the inside private groups and those of us suffering outside. Our food was so so and nothing outstanding. We requested another round of drinks but they arrived well after our meal was finished. Overall nothing here was outstanding and after spending $200 + for 4 adults and 4 children we were not impressed. Sadly we went here on the first day of our week long vacation and we never went back.More
Great restaurant on SML capable of handling large families and parties. I definitely recommend getting there by 6:30. We were a party of 10 ages 7 to 77. The menu is diverse and the food is good. The service outstanding. We were greeted as soon...as came in and sat right away. Our server was a young male and he was very attentive. The decor is clean and modern. We will be back!More
