Was hoping to find a go-to bakery a bit closer to home - even one in a downtrodden industrial park (what gives Herndon?) getting a lot of attention on social media. Worst customer service! This is my second time supposed to be ordering cakes from them . They are just giving me a run around each time I follow up with them when I don't hear from them when they say they will call. I ordered...a cake and paid for it but then after 2 hrs realized that instead of ordering 1 big cake ,have two instead of the smaller sizes. They kept telling me someone will call me or she will call me but nobody did so I call them again and they said the same thing. Someone will call me in the morning the following day.I waited again the whole day but nobody did. I called them back, and they promised me the same thing. I waited and waited but they never did. So frustrated with how these people conduct their business. Never again!More
We stopped by Amphora Bakery on our way out of town to pick up a few Easter treats. Everything in the cases looked so delicious. We ended up getting a few bunny cookies, some eclairs, and two cupcakes. The bunny cookies were nice and tasty...with a good almond flavor, not just boring bland sugar cookies. The eclairs were good and the chocolate icing on top was rich. The cupcakes were good but the flavoring was just in the icing, not a filled center. I had a peanut butter chocolate cupcake and was hoping that there would have been a filling too but the flavor in the icing was good.More
Do not miss the opportunity to visit Amphora Bakery in Herndon! It is a beautiful, elegant store with the most amazing assortment of cakes and pastries! It is especially known for its cakes and they offer an incredible design assortment for cakes for special occasions....My grad-daughter selected a yellow cake with a raspberry mousse filling and it was outstanding. What we particularly noted was that the buttercream icing was not the overly sweet type that is common to a lot of other cakes. You won’t be disappointed with your dessert selection!More

Placed a surprise cake delivery order for my wife from the Herndon location which was 1.2 miles away from my home. They charged $10 extra just for delivery but I said okay and gave them the address. The order was taken 3 days before the...party. The person (initials A.L.) who took the order, promised that the cake would be delivered between 10-10:30 am. It was a surprise cake so I did not want to be contacted. On the day of party, waited till 11:30 but no cake! Called the store... only to be told that my cake was at their Vienna location... WHY? because according to them I did not provide delivery address!! What? Are you kidding me?? Donna, the store manager, did not admit any fault but instead arrogantly put the blame on me saying I ordered the cake but never provided them the delivery address!! Really?? The person who took the order should get fired, how stupid this company can be! She also refused me refund! ZERO customer service! I'll personally let my friends and neighbors know to NEVER EVER do business with this company. This review is for the first timers because I am sure they don't have any repeat customers.More
I had the fortune of tasting vanilla cake from Amphora Bakery. It had a sublime taste with low to moderate sugar, which I liked. The bakery items they sell are on the expensive side, however, great taste and the quality of food make it up....Recommended bakery for giving a treat to yourself.More
Who would have thought a bakery hidden back in an industrial park would be my go-to place for birthday cakes? Whether it be something chocolatey or a fruit tart, the Amphora Bakery always does a nice job.
My work placed an order for a lemon meringue cake for a coworkers birthday and we were not disappointed with how expertly done it was. I've also picked up some cookies and a brownie from here and was impressed with how good they were.

This is a wonderful diner with delicious meals. From breakfast anytime of the day to stuffed shrimp or vegetarian entrees- there is something for everyone! And save room for dessert or do like we did and just take them home for later.More

I never would have found Amphora if not for Aslin Brewery, to be honest. I was waiting in line with my craft beer nerd friends when I needed a break and started walking. And thankfully I happened upon Amphora! The cupcakes are like clouds and...the M&M cookies are not to be missed. They have very imaginative cookies and cakes and would definitely consider them for a special birthday. Maybe someday they will have specials on beer day releases or at least tell someone they are there! They will go far with a little more advertising.More

Looking for a place to enjoy coffee and pastries we came across a branch of Amphora Bakery that we didn't know was located in this small shopping plaza with small restaurants and businesses.
