This restaurant is an absolute gem! It has a beautiful and elegant dining room where you are served attentively by wonderful servers and we even got a table visit from the owner. The food was beautifully prepared and presented and the portions were large enough to share or bring home, which we did. If you are near Worldgate or are head to Dulles for a late flight, you will want to try this marvelous restaurant!

My organization used Anatolian Bistro to provide dinners for our resident leaders' families. I worked with Cemal to have this order delivered to each family before our resident engagement session and he was so wonderful working with me. Very kind and excellent attitude, and our resident leaders' families found the food absolutely delicious! They raved about it during our meeting. Completely recommend!

This is a Turkish restaurant serving Halal food. The staff there are Turkish and are very friendly. The place was empty when we got there for our very late lunch. However, it did fill up later on. We assume that everything is made fresh to order as it took some time for our food to get there. The appetizer platter It was OK. I think the thing that ruined it in that platter is the red chopped tomatoes in the middle of the plate. The juices from those tomatoes ruin the flavors of the rest of the items on that plate. Hubby had the mixed grill platter and I had the grilled chicken tenders. Everything was salty but still edible. The yogurt drink was pretty good and we think it was homemade. We would probably go back again we are craving this kind of food.

This place still has good food and service. However, on a Sunday evening they imposed a 20% gratuity on the dinner bill for two. This is not acceptable for just 2 people. Gratuity is a tip which should be determined by the customer if happy with the food and service. I would have given it myself but they cannot force me to give it and determine the percentage themselves. I didn't create a scene over it but would think twice before going back again (and I have been a customer for a long time). They've started this bad practice since they are getting more customers now. This is unacceptable.

Our dinner at Anatolian Bistro was very good: tasty food, attentive/friendly service and a nice, modern atmosphere. We tried a variety of the Turkish dishes starting with the mixed appetizer which was a good sampler of different items. The calamari appetizer was very good too. Our entrees were: lamb shish kebab (smallish), lamb shank (large, but tomato sauce was somewhat mild), Manti (ravioli, very mild tasting), and Iskender kebab (tasty seasoning). The Iskender was our favorite dish. For dessert we tried baklava (okay) and also Kunefe with ice cream which was really tasty. This was a very enjoyable experience with Turkish cuisine. Prices are a bit high but this cuisine is not common in my area.

This was my first visit to Anatolian Bistro. This is the best Turkish restaurant I have been to in some time. The setting is simple, clean, and neat and the seating very comfortable. The savory malatya spicy chicken hot appetizer is not to be missed. It was delicious, and cooked perfectly. The main course, the Adana kebab dinner also was superbly done. The spicing was exquisitely done, the presentation attractive and the meal delicious. Finally, the kunefe is probably the best I have had outside of Türkiye. It was made fresh from scratch in the kitchen, and thus was as fresh as it could be. The food is prepared fresh in the kitchen for each meal. This has three impacts. First, and most importantly, each meal is freshly prepared and has not been sitting somewhere waiting to be reheated when ordered. Second, because of the personal, individual attention given to each meal in the kitchen, the food is more expensive than one might outside expect. That said, the meal is well worth the price. And third, this means that dinner will take more time than some may be used to. The food is so good it is well worth the wait, and that provides a nice time for relaxing and enjoying the company during dinner. Leisurely meals are valued in many parts of the world, even if the United States has lost its appreciation for such. Dining at the Anatolian Bistro provides a wonderful opportunity for rediscovering the joy of a leisurely meal with excellent food and the company of others. Highly recommended.

First time here. The food was fantastic. The place is small, neat, and clean. We ordered hummus for an appetizer that was delicious and served with incredible warm, homemade bread. The chicken shish was tasty and moist. My Iskender Kebab had a very taste.

We are still sitting outside to dine, so it wasn't until we were leaving that we looked in and saw what a lovely bistro they had. Next time we will be indoors to enjoy the atmosphere - BUT the food was just as great al fresco. Our brand new server was very attentive and bread, drinks, and dinner came out in good time, and we had a nice visit with both the chef and the owner Esen Onat Kulak... and wow what a meal. We started with the dolma which was house made and tasty with tomato and lemon. I had the adana kabob - very good with a nice kick of spices, and with the rice and thin sliced red onion and parsley it was the perfect meal. My wife had the filet shish and was very happy. But be sure to save room for the desert and coffee, Not sure what it was called but the custard like flan with cinnamon was the perfect ending. If we didn't live in Florida this would be my go to dining, thanks for a wonderful evening!

We shared three dishes for dinner: the Doner Kebab, Adana Kebab, and Chicken Shish, Hummus. And for dessert Kunefe, Baklava, and Kabak Tatlisi. First off this is the first time we have had Turkish food other than chicken kebabs at a local kebab place. Anatolian was fantastic! The service was great, atmosphere cozy and welcoming. There is no doubt we will be visiting this restaurant again.

Now I admit to enjoying a Turkish. I’m a coeliac so grilled meat, rice and salad is a great choice. It has a good menu and the staff are super attentive. Please note English isn’t always a first language amongst the staff, but that certainly isn’t a barrier to goo friendly service. The food is well priced and good quality. A go to in the Herndon area.

This is a really good spot. Went to lunch with my coworkers. You're definitely going to need a seat with a pillow because you're going to be too full to get up after. Service was really good. Water level never hits the bottom of the glass. The food hmmm ..Really flavorful, decent size quantity. I would definitely recommend. A bit pricey but I can't deny it's worth. Oh yeah, don't forget dessert.

We ordered take-out last night, since we couldn't eat in due to the pandemic restrictions. Our dinner -appetizers and entrees were prepared perfectly. They were packaged very well for takeout and were still warm when we opened them at home. We even had their wonderful bread to start our meal. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

We wanted Turkish for dinner last night and found the Anatolian Bistro online. The restaurant is in a shopping center and the inside is neat and comfortable. The staff is all very accommodating and the owner very friendly. We had the red lentil soup, sigara boregi, manti and iskender kabob. Everything was excellent: well-seasoned and prepared, served hot, and very satisfying. We promised ourselves to go back again soon. It is a superb restaurant.

My dinner for two turned into a solo dining experience--my date stood me up. Regrettable? Hardly. I am so glad that I stayed after my first glass of Turkish, blended red wine! (Selected by my server, it was just as described and suited my taste perfectly). The atmosphere of the Herndon Anatolian Bistro welcomed me. The large window in front allowed me to people watch, while I waited only a very short time for my appetizer. Fresh bread served with delightful black olive topped olive oil made for a beautiful and tasty companion, too. Feeling daring, I ordered the calf liver and onions plate--I would not have done this in a party of two. Again, I am so grateful I did. As described and plated simply, the calf liver breaded and fried, made me forget my solitude. Some details to note: the parking can be tricky, but there is a free garage in the lot. Also, as I am hard of hearing, I called ahead to reserve a ‘quiet’ table, and, upon my arrival, the staff offered me two table options to choose from--now THAT’s service. Finally, although alone, the festive simplicity of the decor lifted my spirits and allowed me to celebrate the wonderful food. The Anatolian welcomed families (one was seated next to me), co-worker parties, singles at the bar, and me, a jilted romantic.
