Much nicer inside than out. Friendly staff but average food, at best. Crab cake had very little breading and was broiled so my hopes were high but it lacked something in flavor. Same with the stuffed rainbow trout and the collard greens. They tasted like something was missing.

Good food; great place to take friends, family, and out-of-town visitors for a relaxed meal of seafood, steak, or local specialties. Friendly atmosphere, so popular it tends to be crowded on weekends, but well worth a short wait, if necessary. Located several miles N of Harrisonburg on Route 11, but worth the trip.

My nineteen year old daughter and I ate here while staying overnight locally, as we made our way back to Pittsburgh, PA from a beach vacation in the Outer Banks of NC. This was one of the options presented to us by our local innkeeper and it sounded like the best. Having just completed an 8 hour drive in heavy... More

My, what a kind and generous review! As an on-hands owner, I oversee the food and service; it is very rewarding to know that you experienced dinner just as we strive to present it: good food with genuinely friendly service. I appreciate the review! More

Good service, good flavors, nice portions. I came here with my husband, we both enjoyed ourselves. Appetizer, two meals, desert was $74. I feel that it was worth the money due to the portion size and flavor. He got the tuna, I got the stuffed fish. Collards were good and the salad fresh I wish they had macaroni and cheese.... More

We have been dining here for over 12 years. We have been known to drive several hundred miles out of the way to make sure we could visit here. Everything we have ever eaten at the Blue Stone Inn has always been excellent. The seafood is supreme. The staff is super-attentive, friendly, and accommodating. We arrived later in the evening... The Blue Stone Inn is a favorite of ours.......it's locally owned which is a big plus in our book. The food is delicious and the staff is eager to please. We have been eating here for years when in the Harrisonburg, VA area. We usually visit many of the antique stores in the Shenandoah Valley and end the day with... More

First of all-great seafood !!! Fried oysters are wonderful -available on the combination platter. Great ambiance for a special outing. You will enjoy! Sides are really tasty. Service is attentive and pleasant, too.

We knew they would be packed Valentime's weekend, so we waited to go a few days later. Great choice. I have the crablegs and my husband had fried oysters. Could not have been better. The creamed spinich was also excellent and the cucumber salad was wonderful! The decor is pure Rockingham County. It is the place to go if you... More

Thank you for the kind words. And so smart of you to wait until the crush of the "Valentiners" had come and gone! Not that we don't appreciate all of our guests who waited for tables on that crazy weekend, but it is so much easier to make sure that a customer has a great dining experience when the staff... This meal at Blue Stone was a disappointing one...an unusual experience for us. One had to really look carefully to see any oyster in each small piece...somewhat like eating fried bread crumbs. The shrimp dinner, clam chowder and sides were very good, nicely prepared and spiced. We did not say anything because it was a special occasion with an elderly... More
