Beautiful old home but I was blown away by cold coming from floor duct. Staff were polite and knowledgeable. There was an extreme amount of time between courses. We were not ever asked about our satisfaction. My entrée was barely warm and my husband's was not hot either. We chose the restaurant because it was highly rated. We were in... More

We enjoyed a 5 star meal at the Joshua Wilton House restaurant. They chef is from Buckingham Palace! What more could you want! We shared a lovely salad, tried a pig belly appetizer, dinner was scallops, and duck, and finalized with an AMAZING brownie with PEANUT BUTTER ice cream. The MOST AMAZING ice cream we have ever had!

This is an excellent restaurant and venue. The food is exceptional, service is great and it is a fun place to take your JMU student. Located in the heart of Harrisonburg it is both a restaurant and a bed/breakfast. The waited was very familiar with the property and its tales. He was also well informed about the menu selections and... More

We had a very nice experience here. Staff was great. Helped us with luggage. Nice little bar with a knowledgable bar keep. Excellent dinner. Even got to meet "Eagle". One of the owners and a genuine character.

What a great place from start to finish. The decor is great. The wait staff ( Paul and manager for us) is great. The food is great. It was date night ($35 pp) so we selected from four introduction courses, four main courses, and three shared deserts. However, we started with excellent mixed drinks (Wilton's Widow & Bark and Bite)... More

very nice brunch, nice selection of food and very reasonably priced. Didn't have a reservation and they almost made us feel not welcome.....seated us like it was an issue despite only having 2 tables in the room with guests at them.

I have been to the Wilton twice- once last August for dinner, and in June of this year for the first night of our honeymoon. Both experiences were wonderful- the food and drinks are great, the service is impeccable, and the ambience is lovely! Definitely consider this for your next special occasion.

Staff was so great and considerate upon arrival. After a brief tour, we were able to come and go as we pleased, making a late-night turn-in possible. It's only 0.2 miles from downtown, so we didn't have to worry about parking and/or taking cabs back. Brunch was absolutely DELICIOUS! Definitely a lot more food than I was expecting. The staff... This is a must eat restaurant! The menu is local, fresh and exquisite. Service was above excellent. We had brunch, the Eggs Benedict were perfect. Duck confite hash was flavorful and filling. Our kids loved the club sandwich and yogurt parfaits. Stunning location. We will be back!

Thank Karen P

Located in an elegantly restored Victorian mansion, Joshua Wilton House is within walking distance of historic downtown Harrisonburg and the campus of James Madison University, offering guests quiet charm and gracious living in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The Restaurant offers a unique and exquisite a la carte menu that changes with the seasons, along with an extensive selection of beers and an award-winning wine list. Featured are the food products of many small local farms and producers who supply our kitchen with high quality ingredients that simply cannot be found elsewhere. Chef's Tom French and Brian Bogan work together to create food that highlights Virginia's southern heritage while adding a French influence to the dish. During the warmer months, seating is available on the outdoor brick patio. Arrive early and enjoy a cocktail in our lounge before dinner.
