We were expecting soup but when we saw the menu, we couldn't decide. I had chicken mushroom bowl and my wife had the taco salad. They were both very good. We ate at the Mt. Clinton Pike location near the campus. I'm not sure why TA combines the two locations. It was busy and tasty. The locals really like it.... More

As always we were on the lookout for a place that catered to vegetarians (never easy, even in big cities, much less smaller ones) So we were glad to find the Bowl of Good. It is a bit out of the way, across from the soft ball field at Eastern Mennonite U (think the BoG may be affiliated with EMU... More

A unique relaxed dining experience from a world cuisine menu of stews, soups, salads and wraps. We had Maharaja Bowl was a spicy lentil stew. My husbands Sigon Gyro (like a wrap) was tasty too. I loved eating here. I also respect their support of a farm to food philosophy while taking care of the earth.

I ordered the Thai "Hot Bowl" (soup). Beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, but very bland. Husband got the Nach-Moo bowl (chili atop nachos). Both very nice presentation and HOT on a cold, rainy May evening. His chips were soggy before the end of the meal. Looooved the worldwide ethnic cuisine/menu offerings. Very bohemian and earthy feel.

Would recommend. Had the Peace, Love & Granola Bowl. Very fresh & delicious, with banana & orange slices. Definitely wanted to get more to go

Ordered the Thai bowl and the Thai slaw. The Thai bowl was lacking a lot of flavor for claiming to be Thai, really tasted like coconut milk over rice and chicken. Their house made lemonade was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. If I'm ever back in Harrisonburg, I would stop back but try something different.

The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is spot-on. You should try everything at least once. The staff are wonderful....for the most part.

We picked up food to take back to our hotel. The portions were a great size- esp the black bean and rice dish. We like to eat healthy and this was great. Folks working were nice too.

This small café serves soups and pastries made from scratch and local ingredients. Everything we ate was delicious, staff was friendly, prices very reasonable.

There is no place like Bowl of Good!! Food is delicious and fresh. It's a good place to support local growers. Adjacent to the Cafe is a gift shop that has hand made items from third world countries. A great way to support third world countries..
