From the time we walked in the door the staff was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is casual, warm, and quaint. The food was delicious and moderately priced. Highly recommend! We will definitely go there again when we're in the area.

Local ingredients, very creative menu. Drinks, wine, beer top notch. Expensive but worth it. You pick meat, sauce, sides and save room for insane desserts. By far best in Harrisonburg but get a reservation!

Fantastic food. Blue cheese rub and cognac / peppercorn sauce was perfection. Californian Cabernet is wonderful.

I was looking at the pictures on trip advisor for this restaurant and saw the gluten free pancakes. I was sold. I had been on the road for a very long time and it was 10pm. I sat at the bar and looked at the menu. I questioned the waiter about the pancakes and he said they used to serve... More

Found Local Chop & Grill by chance while visiting Harrisonburg with my mother. Immediately loved the warm atmosphere and tasteful decor. It would make a great date or anniversary setting. Our server Bryan was attentive, professional and friendly and gave us a great introduction to the restaurant. I had the yellow fin tuna steak special, rare with asparagus and smash... More

My fiancee and I were visiting Harrisonburg for the day and came across this restaurant on a Google search. It was worth the stop in. The food was fresh and very good. We opted to eat in the bar, but it was far from a "normal" bar. It was quiet and very clean. We will definitely be going back whenever... More

On the 8th of June we celebrated out 48th wedding anniversary at the Local Chop and Grill House. Billy was our server that night and did he know the menu. His recommendations made our night a night to remember. The food was delicious, well prepared and presented. After dinner we asked for a digestivo called Amarro, a not very popular... More

Dinner here for our 37th Anniversary was memorable for the quality of both the food and the service. My husband and I chose the petite filet with the herb rub. They were perfectly cooked! Our daughter chose a pork chop and said it was so good she could have eaten another(she is pregnant)! We were in the area on vacation... More

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner! It was our first time but won't be the last. The steaks were delicious, with their rubs and sauces!

I went to this because I was here in Harrisonburg for a few days and I wanted to try the "best". As I entered there was a distinct odor of, well, a meat rendering plant. I partly wondered if this was some weird "atmospherics". When nobody showed up at the host podium, I considered going elsewhere. I should have. My... More
