As we arrived to the host station, a gentleman greeted us by telling us it would be at least an hour fore we would get our food. The were short staffed.decided to order our food to go to bring back to the room. It was over an hour. The food was fine enough, but they were clearly understaffed and it showed.

After traveling all afternoon we were looking for a quick, light meal and this little gem did not disappoint. Our server/bartender Kevin was very nice, answered my questions concerning gluten free options despite doing double duty. Wasn't a huge menu, but had enough options; salads, entrees, etc. to satisfy. Atmosphere was nice. Football was on if you wanted to watch. Would go back again if we're ever in the area.

Enjoyed a midweek outing with friends here. Bartender Brice took great care of us. Food and beverages were great. We had some starter appetizers that were tasty pre entrees. The burger was perfect, and others had from soup to BLT's and salads. A few of their draft beers were out, but they did have alternatives.

Stopped in for Happy Hour to check out The Tavern at Virginia Crossings. Hope was to book a stay in the hotel over the summer. Happy Hour had good specials however, one house wine was full price and turned out to be $33. Given everything else was $7, the waiter, Mike, should have mentioned that full price is much much higher than would normally be expected. Such intentional silence and then sticking it to you with the bill seemed a little unprofessional. Consequently, I don't trust Virginia Crossings.

Ordered a glass of Mendoza Malbec and Bronzed Salmon with " seasonal fruit salsa, chimichurri quinoa and sautéed greens. Received 1/4 glass of bitter cheap red wine and overcooked oily and salty piece of salmon covered with pieces of cold canned mixed fruits on the bed of equally overcooked and saturated in oil quinoa. Tiny pieces of something green could be seen mixed into the quinoa . Not even mentioning the quality of the service. Who are the people responsible for wasting food?

I have eaten here multiple times over the years. It is a good casual spot if you want to eat at the Hotel and not drive. On this occasion, I had a terrific BLT, steak fries, and a Stone IPA (I actually had three, but I walked back to my room). My waitress was really nice. I enjoyed my meal.

Happy hour drink prices and apps were the draw after 9 hours of driving. Met another couple (friends from home) who were overnighting here too. They had sandwiches that they said were okay. Agree with prior review that it was a just okay option. We arrived a few hours earlier than the other couple and went to the Capital Ale House for a real dinner ... a favorite each time we stop at Glen Allen.

Now the only restaurant open for dinner at this hotel. Small menu and wine list. Have the meatloaf. Friendly staff.

This was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, with her housemade peppered bacon. Also, kudos to the staff there, as they were horribly short staffed.

We were spending one night at the hotel and decided to try the on-site Tavern for dinner since we didn't want to get back in the car. We should have tried some of the other offerings in the area close by. The bar was doing a good business but few people at tables. The service was average. I had a Ginger Ale that just tasted like water. I ordered the Ruben w a side salad. The sandwich was greasy with very little sauerkraut or thousand island dressing to give it any taste. My partner ordered the Grilled Cheese w Bacon. It too was really greasy and they forgot the Bacon. The Potato Chips that came with it tasted burnt. Skip this place...

I had a salad with goat cheese. The salad and the cheese barely had any taste at all. I covered it in pepper and salt in an effort to eat it. The waiter was very attentive. Just wish I had ordered something else.

I found everything to be okay or average. Nothing special. Server was attentive. The good thing was that after a long drive and arriving later at night, we were still able to get something to eat by just walking across the courtyard of the hotel.

I really enjoy their happy hour. They have a selected items for $5.00 . The roasted Brussel sprouts are delicious. The atmosphere is great. Sometimes it gets crowded and the waitresses can be a little slow so you need order 2 drinks at one time. Then you don’t have to wait too long.

Nice place tucked away off of Brook Road. The food is good and it's quiet the majority of the time. Outside deck that also has a fire pit in the fall or on cooler days.

My friend and I ate at The Tavern out of convenience while staying at the adjoining hotel. It was also recommended by the front desk staff. We ordered the hot toast appetizer as well as the grilled brussel sprouts. Both were really delicious and the portion size was very generous. Highly recommend The Tavern
