We stopped in on a Tuesday night after dinner. The bar was packed with an assortment of friendly characters. Although it was busy we received excellent service in our selection and lighting of our cigars. The service from the bartenders could not have possibly been...any better. The cigars were reasonably priced. The top shelf Cognac‘s and Brandy‘s were also reasonably priced. The coffee was fresh and delicious. It also happened to be jazz night, so we were treated to a live piano players musical renditions. I love this place.More

First time at Mona’s and smoking cigars. Enjoyed the atmosphere. The DJ played good music. The flavors of the cigars were tasty. The prices were reasonable for the cigars, food, and drinks alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. Definitely will return.

What a fantastic bar! We were on a Friday night recently during our holiday, and had a great time. The place is decorated as one expects from a cigar bar: lovely big chairs, some high bar tables, a big bar and some cabinets with cigars....Some odd paintings on the wall... We started early evening with a small cigar outside and came back to this bar after our dinner in another place. The place went from lovely live music in the early evening, to a very buzzing and crowded cigar lounge by the end of the night - the music changing slowly to a perfect urban music mix with a high volume. It is just great here! It’s a shame we only had 1 night to visit this area near Richmond.More

This place is A-1!! Live jazz a Saturday night then a DJ took over later in the night. The place is on fire, smoke cigars, hookah, eat, drink and be merry on an adult level. My husband and I were in the area celebrating our...anniversary and visited here. It was just so relaxing. I have been going to Mona's for over one year and the service and options continue to get better. They have expanded their cigar selection and offer better prices for premium cigars. The quality of the food is good, yet what makes this place great...is the ability work during the day with high speed internet and return later at night for a lively atmosphere with DJ or Live Band. There's no place like it in Richmond and a great place to chill with friends or have a day time business meeting.More

I must say, this is one of the best cigar bars I've been to!!! The ambiance is lively but chill, meaning there was a live jazz band, followed by a DJ playing uptempo music; thus, you could dance or lay in the cut and relax....Folks were also smoking hookah. The crowd was friendly and sociable; i.e. a great place to mix & mingle. There is a bar scene as well as sofas & tables w/chairs. I had already eaten but they have a full service kitchen and diners appeared to be enjoying the food. I most definitely recommend Mona to those looking to go out for a smoke in a good vibe. Also, there is a patio out front. ENJOY!!! Ps Not the place to go if you are looking for peace & quiet, as the music is bumping!!!More

Mona's has great, shaded, outdoor searing, good food priced reasonably, friendly and pleasant service, and nearby free garage parking if on-street is not available. Generally go at least once each month.

Visited here for a birthday party and really liked the laid back atmosphere. The food was really good and the drinks were as well. The live music was OK. The band was sort of drabby. Didnt really move the crowd. Good thing they switch to...a DJ at 11pm. The DJ really got the crowd going. The hookahs are $18 and we shared it with the whole table. Would definitely go back although I dont smoke cigars. The smoke isn't overwhelming. There's also an outside area which is nice.More

I reserved us a table for our anniversary Friday February 17, 2017... We really enjoyed ourselves😊!! Great jazz, good food& drinks, hubby really enjoyed cigars😉! Amazing atmosphere!! Will definitely be come back for a 2nd visit soon!!

I have nit been to Mona's in over a year and decided to head to Short Pump with friend to listen to the Jazz and puff a few cigars and have a bite eat. There is an even bigger selection of cigars, diverse crowd, smooth...jazz on Saturday more of the up tempo Jazz on Friday. What's different now is that after the band finishes at 11, there is a dj that starts playing music. Music was ok but to loud couldn't hear my friends talking and we were sitting next to each other. I think it was too much base. If you want to make sure you get in, rsvp! If not.....More

45 minutes into a monsoon, soaked to the bone, I gave up on the Richmond Kickers-Swansea City soccer match and struck out for a dry place to smoke an Ashton Heritage. Stumbled across Mona's and was surprised they didn't throw me out. I have never...seen anything like it: sleek, classy, jazz player at the piano, well-ventilated, well-dressed clientele looking good, very diverse, food looked great (some eating dinner, others appetizers), busy but not too crowded on a bad-weather Saturday night. Walk-in humidor, hookahs, great liquor selection behind the bar. Didn't order any food but settled for a Makers Mark Manhattan with a friend out on the covered patio to watch the deluge while drying out. People next to us were friendly, service was friendly (I got a thorough explanation of how hookahs work), I could smoke my own because I ordered that drink. Really relaxing, terrific place. Cigars and hookahs, yes, but I don't recall seeing any cigarette smokers so be warned. Neighborhood's decent, too (newer street-level shopping-condo development), plenty of indoor parking, didn't have to pay. Worth driving long distances to get to.More

We went for a friend 40th birthday party. It was really nice. They played live music and even played birthday songs for him when the birthday guy walked in. Our waitress Rachel was really nice and attentive. My husband and I went to the Cigar...area to buy cigars, I knew nothing about Cigars and I just really wanted something for picture sake but the guy was really informative and nice. We had wine which was delicious. The food was okay. We had the scallops and Tuna appetizer the scallops were bland but the tuna was good. We also had the lamb sausage flat bread. Overall a great night! We will be going back.More
