I'm a breakfast girl at heart and when I can get a short stack of pancakes and/or a sausage, egg and cheese on a homemade biscuit at lunchtime, I'm all in! Had the cheese been cheddar instead of American, this would be 5 stars!

Second time we were here with friends who live in Gainesville, both times for breakfast. The place is clean, the service was excellent and friendly and the food was great. Not much else one can ask for.

This another of our favorite places where we stop for breakfast on Sunday after Church. The breakfast menu is very good. It has everything for almost everyone. I ordered the Meat lovers omelet that comes with hash brown, English muffin. My wife ordered the French...toast.More

Nothing exciting here for breakfast, sadly. Service was good and our waitress was very friendly but next time we'll find a different spot for breakfast.

I was looking forward to a real diner. Nope. It is really run down, very limited menu and the service was slow during a late breakfast. Nothing special about the menu. If you want a scrambled egg, do it yourself at home. The bathroom was...in bad shape. The main entrance is not inviting.More

The first thing that struck us was that the word "Gainesville" was misspelled on the menu!! I am not sure how that happened, but that was symptomatic of the diner. Nothing was bad, but some improvements are needed. My husband and I ordered pancakes and...we both got short stacks instead. That worked out fine because they were huge. We got three orders of biscuits with our meals (there were 4 of us) and none came with butter. My tea "pot" leaked all over the place. Again, none of these problems are horrible, but they show a lack of real effort to please. You cannot beat the prices, and I think we will go back again and see if things improve. The food was typical diner fare, and so that was the good part.More

First time visit to the Gainesville Diner. Unfortunately the visit was disappointing as the food was below average. Tables around us had dirty dishes still on all of them and the floors were a mess. The plates looked good but lacked flavor. I wouldn’t recommend...this place for breakfast. IHOP or Eggspectation are better choices for breakfast. Too bad the area could use a good Diner option.More

Then everyone will know to go here. We've been for breakfast multiple times. Food is fresh, staff is friendly and efficient, and prices are really good. They have a breakfast special that you get eggs (any way), sausage, bacon, and either pancakes or french toast....SOOOOOOOOOOO Good!!!!!!!!More

Sunday morning breakfast. The food was average diner fare. Nothing was bad but nothing was great. Nice airy place, upscale for a diner atmosphere. Friendly staff. Our food came out in stages with a few items having been forgotten. Link sausage was too salty to...eat, pancake was slightly undercooked and more cakey than light and fluffy. Corn beef hash was average, poached egg was over cooked and yolk was solid. Omelette’s were average. We would eat here again but not as our first choice for a diner type breakfast.More
