We ate here after a family visit to Skyline Caverns. All 4 adults and a 3 year old were thrilled with the quality of the food and the friendliness of the service. Homemade crust on my asparagus quiche was wonderful. Indulged in grits, equally delicious. Daughter-in-law's "chunky monkey" pancakes had, she said, the perfect ripeness of bananas and wonderful chocolate. Son's meatloaf special sandwich satisfied a notoriously picky eater and my husband all but licked the plate of his French toast special with sausages and bacon that could not have been better. And while our grandson has never met a grilled cheese sandwich he didn't like, we all agreed the toasting made for a lovely sandwich. In short, this is the kind of comfortable food one looks for in a diner and doesn't always get. If you have a trip to the area, this is a place worth visiting.

We stopped by for breakfast on a Labor Day weekend on our way into Shenandoah Valley National Park. Our waitress was friendly, fast, and unphased by my son’s food allergies—she said one of the cook’s has a food allergy child herself and was well aware of ingredients and the need to cook his meal in a separate skillet. I didn’t even need to ask! The food was great, and the atmosphere was casual, clean, and relaxing. I think the restroom was very recently remodeled. It’s cash only, so come prepared, and be sure to leave a nice tip!

My wife and I were looking for a place for breakfast that would have options for our two younger kids who are very picky eaters. L Dee's had a perfect menu for them. Our meal was amazing and do was the service. When we come back this way again we will be eating here again.

Based on the reviews we went and ordered pancakes to go. We ordered two sets of three blueberry pancakes and one set of three chocolate chip pancakes. The pancakes were bland with no taste and there appeared to be Maine blueberries inside which is the cheapest kind you can buy. There was a small amount of blueberries in the pancakes as well, picture shown above. The texture of the pancakes was also off. The pancakes were small and weren't even half the takeout container, pictures are shown above. This is June, blueberries are in season and if they are Maine blueberries there is no excuse for that. It is just cheap, substandard ingredients. The batter that is used for the pancakes is terrible. All of these positive reviews are the reasons why we stopped here. This place is called a pancake house and this is what we were served. You can believe all the positive reviews that are extremely questionable or you can believe somebody that passed through town that has no roots here and is not loyal to the area. They should be ashamed of themselves. Never, ever again. We were also overcharged by $3, according to the menu.

I live more than 30 miles away, but I can still find an excuse to eat here several times a month. The food is always cooked perfectly and the wait staff is always fast and friendly. I highly recommend L'Dees for anyone looking for a great breakfast experience.

OMG! Best Breakfast ever! This is a spot not to be missed when you visit Front Royal. Family owned, fantastic cooking, personal service - a favorite of locals and anyone else who is privileged to drop in. We had the pancake special. Absolutely excellent. Eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage. I added sausage gravy! The dessert that my husband enjoyed was hot homemade pecan bread pudding with ice cream and whipped cream. Heaven. Of special note was the friendliness of the waitress who saw to our every need and alerted us to the specials of the week. Wednesday home made chicken salad, egg salad. Thursday Spaghetti! Do not miss dining here. Closes at two, one on Sunday. Cash only! Worth every penny! Closed Monday and Tuesday.

It was breakfast; always a challenge to serve hot. Food was warm, French Toast flavorful, great tasting sausage. My wife’s omelette was okay. Good service, but certainly nothing special.

While traveling in Virginia we were so happy to find this great local Diner. It is obviously a favorite of many locals and it was a lot of fun watching the interactions between the wait staff and diners. The food was excellent, homemade biscuits, and wonderful pancakes were our favorites. I highly recommend this spot if you are in Front Royal!

Great place for breakfast and lunch. I wish it were open for dinner too! We had a really nice waitress who spent extra time getting my 10 year old niece’s order just right. I had a fantastic greek omelet. My brother and niece had steak and eggs and hot chocolate. All of the food and service was great. The only issue we had was with the drinking water. For some reason it was way over chlorinated. Probably a problem with city water, not specific to this restaurant but I would get bottled water instead.

Didn’t know where to go for breakfast in Front Royal- started to drive downtown and noticed a lot of cars in front of this place. What a treat! Excellent menu items- waitress was wonderful- priced right. I tried the scrapple… reminded me of haggis I had in Scotland. Would recommend L’Dee’s

Best breakfast diner I've ever been to. Everything is made fresh there. The Greek Omelette is wonderful! Service is friendly and quick unless they are packed, which seems to be the case on most weekend mornings.

We stopped in for breakfast on our way to Shenandoah National Park. We weren’t disappointed. L Dee’s is a traditional breakfast place with great food and friendly service. We enjoyed everything and the coffee was good too!

Awesome b’fast…& I simply had scrambled eggs the way I requested, VA country ham, grits & a biscuit! Check out the quiche, etc. etc. Our friendly & helpful waitress convinced me to take some pecan bread pudding pie to go… yum!

Very nice diner. We had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated but it was worth it. The food was good and reasonably priced. The wait staff seemed very busy (the place was packed) but very professional. One thing of note, they only take cash. Would definitely eat here again.

Great food, great people. Traveling with a 6 year old and an 8 year old. They said L Dees is better than Chick Fil A and better than IHOP. Sausage is “crispy heaven.” I couldn’t agree more!
